Hopefully, it will go bankrupt.
If not, it can continue to ruin TES.

Hopefully the old Bethesda that made great games will come back.
If not, let's go with the bankruptcy wish.
Yeah, almost certainly TES5, but I'm sure they'll put out some mini expansions for F3, as well as maybe a full blown expansion or two during the wait.fatshodan
I can see the crappy, 2 dollar, anti-nuclear armor for Dogmeat already.
They've taken a hint from what people didn't like about Oblivion, I wouldn't be so pessimistic if I were you. Most likely TESV or the rumored MMO (that studio just opened 10 minutes from my house, they're gonna be making a big hiring spree in the next couple of years).crucifine
Wow a TES mmo would be so great I just don't think computers would be able to handle it though lol.

Why would they bother? It's much more financially sound to appeal to the mainstream, and they can't have it both ways.
I don't think they will go to a mainstream audience. Oblivion was a hard-core gamer targeted title, and it still sold copies like hot-cakes. Point is, right now they aren't worried about financial issues as they are doin just fine.

Ahaha! Oblivion is as mainstream as humanly possible without being Halo.

By what criteria do you judge the hardcoredness of a game? I am interested to know why you think Oblivion was aimed at the hardcore. It wasn't, of course - it was super mainstream, but I would like to know why you think otherwise.
They should remake Daggerfall. :pRobertBowen
They should. If they just remade Daggerfall, marketed it as a new game, everyone would win. And hopefully they'll do the same with Morrowind a few years later.

LOL!!! you've written some whoppers in your time, but this one takes the cake.
Aha, a Fallout MMO!
fallofman1337
Interplay has the rights to that, not Bethesda. The Fallout MMO is already being planned by Interplay, last I heard.

and that i would absolutely love :( i really didn't like the direction they went with morrowind compared to daggerfall, when it came to freedom (to break the gameplay :D). that said, i don't think something on the scale of daggerfall is possible anymore without hugely cutting back... man, that would be seriously awesome if they found a way though.[QUOTE="BladeMaster84"][QUOTE="fallofman1337"]Aha, a Fallout MMO!

they sold the entire IP to Bethesda. The rights for a Fallout MMO belong to Interplay and they have already announced it.
In a recently released annual regulatory filing, Interplay has reaffirmed a "two-pronged growth strategy" that involves securing "at least" $30 million for a Fallout MMO and reviving classic owned videogame IP.

Ah shoot, didn't notice that happened! Interplay, which ceased operations a few years ago, has a chance to make a comeback thanks in large part to 2007's $5.75 million sale of the Fallout IP to Bethesda, developer of Oblivion and the upcoming Fallout 3. Interplay licensed the IP back for the proposed Fallout MMO. They sold the IP to bethesda, then licensed the IP back for an MMO.. haha, for some reason that's funny. On the other hand, you can take that a sign that Bethesda has zero plans of setting foot in MMO-land anytime soon when it comes to Fallout.[QUOTE="Baranga"][QUOTE="Makari"][QUOTE="BladeMaster84"][QUOTE="fallofman1337"]Aha, a Fallout MMO!

Dosen't the license revert back to Bethasda? Perhaps Bethesda knew Interplay wasn't going to pull anything together, and they just got a spare bit of change in letting the license sit with Interplay. Not like they wanted to make one in the next five years, not until Fallout 3 is out at least.
