I think some people die from heart attacks for sure.
And I'm playing starcraft now and I don't understand the story. Can anyone tell an overall story of starcaft without spoilers?

If they announced a World of Starcraft now - I'm pretty sure people will set fire to the Blizzard offices. And I'd boycott all future Blizzard games.KHAndAnimeWhy? I taught fans become happy about it.nothing beats the taste of squashing a zerg with terran marine. an in world of starcraft, you can do it yourself.

I taught fans become happy about it.nothing beats the taste of squashing a zerg with terran marine. an in world of starcraft, you can do it yourself. Maybe outsiders to PC Gaming would be happy. But let's count the score... 1) People have been waiting for a sequel for 9+ years. 2) Blizzard has taken care of the Warcraft series two times in a row, and dedicated most of their resources to an MMO. Blizzard captures the MMORPG market. What happened to the RTS and RPG market? 3) Blizzard delays Starcraft 2 numerous times. Wasn't this game supposed to be out by now? Blizzard then admits they delayed it to take care of WoW. Starcraft fans don't want World of Starcraft. Starcraft fans want Starcraft 2. I've been waiting for this game for years. It doesn't seem like it's ever coming out. If they announced World of Starcraft, I'd be too pissed. I don't want WoW clone. I want all of Blizzard's resources dedicated to Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2. The only fans Blizzard has been taking care of for the last 5 years is WoW fans. World of Starcraft would cater to WoW fans.
what would happen? someone would end up having to turn the internet off and on again because thepeople would break it.

They said their new mmo wont be based on starcraft or world of warcraft
People would be angry, but a few issues back of PC Gamer was talking about this and saying how blizzard "has deep pockets and the balls to try something like it". But I don't think they will start developing one.

Group sex o.O?
@herz
South Korea would declare war to USA and would start nuking every city close to Blizzard's HQ in California, then they would take over the HQ building a new operational military base around it; and then of course they would force everyone to work on Starcraft as an RTS, killing a civilian every time one of the devs looks away from his Dev C++ interface :P
Starcraft's story is one of the most fascinating in gaming industry, in my opinion it's the best, even thou I agree it's hard to grasp in the beginning if you don't know the background, which isn't mentioned clearly in the game. Also, you may want to follow the chronological order of missions to get a better overall understanding (basically, if you do any zerg or protoss mission before you completed the terran campaign, you won't be able to understand a flying bit of what's going on and you'll miss most of the awe from the story).
I think the best way to get it all is to replay the SP more than once. You must have a lot of spare time for this but it's really worth it.

damn, i was so close.3) Blizzard delays Starcraft 2 numerous times. Wasn't this game supposed to be out by now? Blizzard then admits they delayed it to take care of WoW.KHAndAnime
Wait, what? Last thing I heard was that Wings of Liberty got delayed because of the revamping to Battle.net...

I'm not talking about the last particular delay. In an interview given a few months back, one of the leads admitted that SC2 isn't out already because they decided to put more resources into WoW and the last expansion.[QUOTE="Ein-7919"][QUOTE="KHAndAnime"]3) Blizzard delays Starcraft 2 numerous times. And don't think that this means I don't believe you (in fact, considering that all development studios have a finite number of human resources, I would suspect it to be highly likely), I just find it strange that I missed that interview. :?

In an interview given a few months back, one of the leads admitted that SC2 isn't out already because they decided to put more resources into WoW and the last expansion. Dude, you don't realise it but thats a REALLY good thing. WoW is funding money for Blizzard to develop at least FOUR projects at the same time (D3, SC II, New MMO IP and WoW's next expansion). Without WoW, Blizzard is probably only going to release a new product every 5-10 years. So, yeah, we may not play or even like WoW but its funding the games that we WANT to play at the same time. So be happy with that :)[QUOTE="KHAndAnime"][QUOTE="Ein-7919"]I'm not talking about the last particular delay. It's not like all the programmers and artists are too busy working on WoW and not SC2 or Diablo 3. They all have completely different teams. Something that wouldn't be possible if Blizzard wasn't insanely rich.Wait, what? Last thing I heard was that Wings of Liberty got delayed because of the revamping to Battle.net...

I found this on the web but I'm not positive as to how it translates.
CY2009 Q2 Net Revenue by Platform (GAAP):
MMORPG: $324 million (31% of net revenue)
360: $231 million (22% of net)
PS3: $152 million (15% of net)
WII: $118 million (11% of net)
NDS: $48 million (5% of net)
PS2: $44 million (4% of net)
PC+Other: $41 million (4% of net)
PSP: $17 million (2% of net)Activision Blizzard
I think it's their net income for Q2 of 2009. Notice the "MMORPG" title...

So yeah I'm guessing they do rake in a lot from that single game.

http://www.sk-gaming.com/content/24908-WoW_delayed_Starcraft2_for_a_year Can't find the exact one I read, but this is similar enough.Wait I just found another funny one.
Since our merger one year ago, we have delivered better-than-expected financial performance for four consecutive quarters. Our second quarter overperformance was driven by Activision Publishing's PROTOTYPE, Transformers®: Revenge of the Fallen, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the Guitar Hero® and Call of Duty® franchises, as well as Blizzard Entertainment®'s World of Warcraft®.Robert Kotick
See if you can tell me what's funny about it.
People don't just play StarCaft just for the StarCraft branding, taking StarCraft (a RTS) and turing it into World of StarCraft (MMORPG) is changing your core audience. I for one will personaly hunt down, ###### the Blizzard CEO and hang his head on a pole outside the office if he EVER thinks up this stupid idea.
It's like saying we're taking chocolate and growing a vegatable that is called Chocolateroot. 1) Is it real chocolate - No, 2) Is it sweet - No, 3) Does it contain anything chocolate - no but is has chocolate in the name,,,, eh NO it aint chocolate so stop calling it that!!!!!!!!!
