When you look at TVs today the main market buys LCDs. Before LCDs were CRTs and there are even some CRTs that can do EDTV (480p). LCDs were the first to be as versatile as CRTs in them being able to be used in very small screens such as handhelds as well as being in much larger TVs such as 60 inch TVs. I have yet to see a 15 in. Plasma, Rear Projection or DLP TV on the market. We are now seeing Mitsubishi come out with the LaserVue TV, which in a way is similar to rear projection, but what new TV screen could be as successful as the LCD is now? Could the OLED penetrate the market in the same way?
