Ok I can't do this.  I started, but... in 97 there was Postal, Blood, Need for Speed II, and probably a few others I don't know the exact year of release.  It's too tough to decide :(

98: Star craft (*ok so i lied about Jedi Knight AND WoW, this wins by far)

Extremely difficult task especially regarding the 90's, though the choices are quite obvious concerning the last 3 years (mediocre in what relates to quality games, IMO).

2001: Return to castle wolfenstein and Soul Reaver 2

2003: Price of Persia teh Sands of time

2004: Doom 3, Unreal tournament 2004, Half life 2  and Price of Persia Warrior Within

2005: Quake 4, Fear and Doom 3 Resurrection of evil

2006: Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion and Rainbow six vegas

2007: Tomb raider Anniversary and C&c  Tiberium wars
