Has it been cancelled? I just remembered this game is it ever coming out?

It's still in development. I think they changed the engine again and now they're using Unreal Engine 4. gs_gear

lol that is like the 4th time they changed right? Duke nukem is a lesson the developers everywhere. Stick with one freakin engine then go with it.

Im starting to think it was a joke to begin with.

First, there is the name....DN: FOREVER! Maybe its gonna take forever to make?

Then there is the fact that 3D Realms has had their hand in quite a few games in the past few years iirc that they wouldnt even wasting money on DNF, even if it would sell 500k+ copies.

The 3d Realms guy's are still working on it. It's been placed on a back bruner several times but the engine was only changed once. There is NO news on when it will be released or how far along they are with it. It may be another 10 years before they get around to it. It not vaporware because it's a real work in progress. It's simply not ready yet. Any source (outside of 3d Realms) that says they are going to release it or it's almost ready is either wrong or lying. Any store taking pre-orders is simply looking to collect cash. 3d Realms will not release info on it a few days before a relase. They will start a campaign like any other company many months or even a year before a relase is due. Since that hasnt happened yet, you can safly assume that the game is nowhere near ready. It's vaporware dude. That's not to say it will never come out, or that people aren't working on it, but it definitely falls in the catagory of vaporware.
