The majority of new fps/action games dont come with co-op as a game mode anymore which sucks because co-op is so much fun especially with friends and at lan partys. Hell i still play co-op doom I&II, and Duke Nukem 3d with friends. Why aren't game developers making co-op in fps/action games anymore? The newest fps with co-op that i know of is Serious Sam II which is pretty decent. Anyone else miss this great multiplayer mode and want developers to make it again?
P.S. Any suggestions on good co-op games? I don't mind old games.
I know what you mean, besides me I have 4 other bros and we always play co-op on games like Raven Shield and Athena Sword and Battlefield games we played on LAN servers. But some new games don't allow it, F.E.A.R. just added co-op one on the new patch, but Half Life, Call of Duty and Medal of Honor would be cool with co-op.
Its seems to me that most shooters that come out for the xbox have co-op. ( GOW, GRAW, RainbowSix, Splinter Cell, Halo ) I think the reason games like COD and F.E.A.R. dont have co-op is because they try so hard to design those game to be cross platform from PC. The question is, why isn't co-op popular in PC FPS.
Co-op is really fun. I mean, jeez, it doesn't have to be in-depth, I honestly wouldn't mind if it was just tossed in for the hell of it. Playing side-by-side is fun.Â
GRAW,and Rainbow Six both require coordination and care, since you get killed in a few hits and can't get healed, and splinter cell has co-op?That seems weird.
I like co-op like in doom I and II and in Duke Nukem 3d where you go in with a few friends and blast everything together- Thats what i miss
Sven Co-op for half-life 1. That is a pretty awesome mod. I think they are working on a source one too, that'll be sweet. I agree though, co-op is sweet and there should be more of it.
i'd like to see squad-based co-op in games like brothers in arms or republic commando. something like two squad leaders + 3 squad mates each.
i have high hopes for army of two even if it never hits the pc.

I don't understand why Army of Two isn't coming to PC. It doesn't do anything the PC couldn't and being made by EA I would have expected them to rack in money for it off every system. I mean comon the one time there welcome to they don't.
