Silverstone Raven 2? Thermaltake Armor+? Coolermaster HAF? Im really getting frustrated with what case to go with? Any suggestions?

NZXT Tempest, blue led's and bigger then mid tower cases but not a full towerand really good air flow
I have this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811156062
You can buy it with or without the PSU, it comes in either black with green LEDs or Black/silver with blue LEDs. They come with 4 fans too which is nice. The fans run super quiet and the LEDs look great! If you want me to post some pics in and out of my case feel free to ask. The reviews on the case are great and everything fit in my case great! with plenty of room. You really cant beat this case for the price =)
Wow thanx, that is quite a case. Quite a look too, But i cant buy it cause im in Australia.. TTI have this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811156062

I'm currently in a Cooler Master Storm Scout, and it's a really nice case. Sorry to add to your hard decision list! xD
Wow thanx, that is quite a case. Quite a look too, But i cant buy it cause im in Australia.. TT Yeah I love it. I was gonna get something cheaper but I decided to spend a little more on my case as upgrading a case would be the most pain, and I want something to last, But aww dang that sucks =/ Good luck finding a case tha will work/ship to you =)[QUOTE="0ds"]

I have the HAF 932 blue version. I love it to death. Super quiet and stays ridiculously cool because of the huge fans. Plus, the blue is straight up sexy.
I have the Thermaltake Armor+ and I hate it to death. It has horrible air flow, I had to add a custom 120mm intake on the front. Also, I think its too small and it does absolutely nothing for me as far as its "cable management" setup works. Would not recommend this case to anyone, ever. The only pro that I have is that its solid built and has a unique look to the front panel.freesafety13*heartbreak*
[QUOTE="Daytona_178"]Biggest lol ever? Good looks and LED fans don't go hand-in-hand in my opinion, but the Lian-Li LANCool PC-K58 is probably right up your alley. Errrr, extremely solid build, covered in adjustable speed and quiet fans, all intake fans have dust filters, it is black inside and outside. Silicone holders for HDD to absorb vibration/noise. Amazing cable management despite not being a monstrously large case. fan can be mounted on the behind of 1 HDD cage so that it drags more cool air of your HDD's and pushes more onto your video card. Iam sorry but for the price this case stomps everything into the ground.Antec 902....best case ever made!

It's definitely an improvement over the original, but there's still "pop-out" syndrome on the side panels, and they don't seam quite right with the plastic lining outside. Adjustable fan speeds I feel much better using a dedicated fan controller, but that is a matter of personal preference. Kind of like how the best heatsinks on the market don't come with fans kind of preference though. Most people here will agree that dedicated is better than integrated, be it graphics cards, sound cards, power supplies, etc. The dust filters are definitely a welcome addition, although the lack of a dedicated vent for the power supply is rather worrisome. The hard drive layout itself is less than ideal (and I have a similar one in my current case actually), side-mounted hard drives are definitely the way to go if cable clutter is at all a concern of yours. You also lose all those drive spaces if you're installing a graphics card that's about 10" or longer, or at the very least you're setting yourself up for a hell of a lot of work just to move a drive later. The cable routing holes themselves are pretty damn small - the P1 connector is a rather worrisome squeeze, and the room between the mainboard tray and panel is average. The 902 usually retails for around $130. For that price you could get: Lian-Li LANCool PC-K62. Airflow will admittedly not be quite as good, but you get MUCH higher build quality, the same black interior, equal cable management, and a vent for your power supply. You also get a side-mounted hard drive cage. NZXT Tempest EVO. Airflow should be similar, build quality is about on par, same black interior, slightly inferior cable management, but you get a vent for your power supply. And you save $30. Cooler Master Storm Sniper. Airflow is rumored to be superior, cable management is some of the best in any case I've seen, you get the built-in fan controller, black interior, vent for the power supply, and a side-mounted drive cage. The case also feels like it's slightly better build quality. Cooler Master HAF 932. Airflow is probably the best out of any case on the market, cable management is better, and all the rest. The 902 is a good case in the ~$70 market. If you nearly double the price, the 902 looks pretty weak next to the competition.Anything wrong with the thermaltake armor+? (or silverstone raven 2?)
The Armor+ is based on a very old design. This is not necessarily a bad thing I suppose (see the Silverstone TJ07 which is still one of the most popular water-cooling cases on the market despite being nearly a half-decade old), but since it still retails for nearly $200, it's not an ideal choice. The front "wings" in particular I find extremely annoying, and for a case its size the airflow isn't all that impressive. For the price you'd pay for the Armor+ you'd be much better off looking at the Cooler Master ATCS 840, Lian-Li PC-A70F, Zalman MS1000 HS2, or Silverstone FT01. As for the Raven 2, I'm not really a fan of it. It is a pretty unique design, but I don't like the idea of having your hard drives mounted in any orientation other than bottom down. If I were going to go with a design like that I'd opt for the Silverstone Fortress FT02 over the Raven 2 for aesthetic reasons. I haven't had any actual hands-on experience with either of the Raven cases though, so I won't knock them.RayvinAznBut if i were to add some extra fans in the right spot for the Thermaltake armor+, would the airflow problem be solved? I just really like its looks.:?
i agree with daytona gotta be 1 of the best cases around at the mo a mate bought 1 im very impressed by it im gonna upgrade to a antec 902 after my 5870
any thoughts from u guys on the Thermaltake Element G? its here in australia just so the TC knows, but i reckon it looks nice.
I'd say my case, i love it :D. I've got another 10 cm spare from the end of my 5870 which means there's plenty of space in it, it has a 200 mm intake fan and a 120 mm exhaust fan at the rear with a 200 mm ceiling fan and it has an awesome looking red led at the front which you can turn on or off.
But if i were to add some extra fans in the right spot for the Thermaltake armor+, would the airflow problem be solved? I just really like its looks.:? Please, Please, Please avoid the Armor at all costs. I am about to just junk mine in favor or a HAF. Does anybody know for sure if a TRUE will fit in the HAF with its side panel fan? If I can get a definitive answer yes I will be picking up a HAF from a local retailer this week and will be more than happy to part ways with my Armor+[QUOTE="RayvinAzn"]The Armor+ is based on a very old design. (HAF doesnt event come with a fan and then if you add one, you have wire to attach everytime you take off side panel) phlawedgamingwhat are you talking about? the HAF comes with all the fans you need. And the TT is smaller than the Armor+ I have now

Could you please be specific about its cons please. I really want to know. Can extra fans fix the problem? For starters, The inside is very small. In order to replace a gtx 280 or comparable ATI, you have to take the hdd cage out. That wouldn't be that big of a deal if when you take the hdd cage out, your hdd's didnt fall out the back of the cage. Yeah, thats right, the hdd cage doesnt have a backplate on it, hdd's just fall right out the back. Second, the "cable management" system is a joke. The only place to route cables is behind the hdd cage. which isnt even big enough to fit your sata cables and power for your hdd's, without getting 90 degree sata cables. How are you supposed to fit your motherboard connections if you cant even fit your hdd connections back there? Third, the airflow just isnt very good. Even with replacing the fans, adding an additional 120mm to the front, back, and top. Along with 2 pci exhaust fans, the airflow sucks. Now, I will admit that I bought this case with the intention of watercooling but upon realising that I cant even fit the pump inside, let alone a good sized radiator, I just gave up.[QUOTE="Gammet25"]So would the amror+MX be really still as bad? Few things to mention as well. This case is NOT a tooless case. Which for me is a plus and for most hard gamers is a plus. Sorry, but I do not trust massive video cards to cheap plastic clips and you wiggle the stuff around like it is about to fall out. Have seen way to many of them to ever buy them. That said, it is about as close to tooless can get without it being. There are four screws to screw into the harddrives but then they are pretty much tooless. For the video card I use one of the extra thumb screws from the case. You can also use a screw driver on the thumbscrew if your going to be moving the case around much for extra assurance. But, at least when i screw it down with thumbs I know its screwed down and not dangling on plastic clips. Last thing I promise. One of the things I liked most about this case is how everything fits together. The PSU slides on bottom mount rails to the rear holder PERFECTLY. You dont have to hold it up or anything to screw it in. That is how everything is on this computer. The side panels are not a guessing game if you got all the clips in just right before you slide it up. Everything is tight, strong, and snug. When you slide a hard drive and it snaps it, it doesnt move. when you slide the bay back in and it snaps in, it doesnt move. Havnt seen many tooless cases that feel that way when you are sliding stuff in out of their clips. HAF and Sniper are good cases and was next options before stumbling onto this case. The side panel fan with no fans to plug in worth it in itself lol. phlawedgaming
thanks for the run dwon on the thermal take G. my first computer that WASNT a hand-me down that i had was a thermaltake soprano. loved it :D I am going to get my new PC put together on Friday, any other cases similar to the G taht i should loook out for?

Yeah, I just built a pc with that case. I really like it. It looks nice, has plenty of space and tons of air flow. Quiet fans, as well. Runs at a very cool temp.
***UPDATE*** Just purchased my HAF 932. It is a beautifully constructed case. It has no sharp edges, they are all rounded. But the real beauty of this case is its cable management and airflow. I have owned many cases in my day and this trumps them all. With my Armor+ there was no cable management. Also, even though according to specs the Armor+ is supposed to be wider, my TRUE would make contact with the side fan to the point to where I couldnt put the side panel on all the way. I dont have this problem with the HAF, as a matter of fact I have at least an inch of clearance between the side panel and my TRUE. Lastly, my idle and load temps have dropped dramatically on my vreg and gpu's. In my Armor+ case my vreg would hit 90c under full load with IntelBurnTest and my gpu's were hitting in the mid 80c. Now my vreg under load maxes in mid 60c and my gpu's never gets above 70c now. This is a phenomanel result that I was not expecting to see. I can also add that my cpu under full load averages out to be 5c less, but I was not expecting to see a huge improvement in performance there. Currently my temps are as follows. cpu----------24c vreg---------42c system-----31c gpu----------46c cores--------39c, 37c, 34c, 34c. idle --------68c, 66c, 65c, 64c, load.freesafety13Thanx for your dedication to this topic thread.:)
