I know this has been asked an exorbitant amount of times, but what are some good free mmorpgs? i'd prefer for it to be unique, and please only list about 5 of the best ones you can think of (i dont want to search through a long list)

i have played

graal, flyff, fiesta, maple story, kaal, and silk road

Agreed. In guildwars you just see online players in certain towns! MMO is much more!

I would suggest

Entropia Universe (Sci-Fi MMO with it's own player economy)

Second Life (IF your into Sim like games)

Anachry Online (another Sci-Fi)

...or free.

Having no subscription fees does not make it "free"...

It's okay for a few hours, but it gets really repetitive. It's fun in small bursts or if you want to play a casual MMORPG with friends. The graphics are also nicer than most free MMORPGs. I have a sneaky suspicion though that it's a testing ground for Guild Wars.

hyperactiveno1 mentioned Ragnarok online which I thought was a great MMO too. When I played it a few years ago, the community was huge, it had some great mission, and seemingly nice job levelling system that I never really learned.

Most of the "Top list of free MMORPG" I searched on Google seem to have Flyff, Silk Road and Maple story, so you've played some of the better ones already. Here is a link that give lists of free MMOs: GameOgre. You can checkout some of those, and look at the community reviews for each game here on Gamespot for opinion. Some games on that list though are retail game, but don't have subscription fees.

www.navyfield.com

Navy Field is a GREAT game, but it certainly isn't for everyone. If you don't take the time to learn the basics BEFORE you even log in, you'll be lost and get frustrated.

Perfect World flipin_jackass

This game does have really detailed character creation, but after that, the game isn't much fun. Plus the lag is so bad. (Asian servers)

It has really great graphics with beautiful environment but flying does feel like a chore at times. If you get some great spells, it's nice to watch them used on some baddies. I only played solo and I didn't play PVP or team up with others so I'm not too sure what the fun factor is for multiplay. Also, they're coming out with an International version this month (or sometime very soon anyways) so hopefully that would fix the lag. That's actually the main reason I stopped playing - lag caused by both the servers and my 4 year old rig. Still, a good product for its price.
