Whats a good online competetive game?

Just got my new rig and I want to play some good online games. Can you recommend something besides CoD4 WiC CoH and all MMOs.

My preffered genre is RPG but FPS and RTS will do too, so long the game is fast paced and not older then from 2006.

Well some consider Guild Wars a MMORPG and some consider it a Competitive Online ORPG, I consider it a CORPG.

-Battlefield 2142 or Battlefield 2...I personally prefer Battlefield 2142 because a lot of the balance problems where worked out with Battlefield 2142...no more getting owned by jets and helicopters.

you've already included CoD4 on your own list, and i must say, you don't really need to look further than this game for top notch multiplayer content ( of an fps ). coupled with a short but gripping single player, the best selling game in 2k7 will be one of the best game deals you've ever had.
