i have a 8400m gt, 2gb of ram 667 (5300) ddr2, 160gb toshiba hdd, 17 inch screen 1440x900 max size, and intel core centrino duo 1.8x2...so what would be a great shooter thant i can run at 1440x900 and or 1280x800 and high settings. i have css and orange box im slightly bored of it. What else is there? O i also want there to be lots of people in servers.

p.s. cross out bf2, bf2142, moha, vegas 1 i have im thinking about vegas 2 though i heard it was more optimized and less graphics to run it?

Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay is from the 2004 era and was fairly overlooked, but is a phenomenal shooter. Doom 3 is well optimized, but it's not for everyone (about a 60/40 split of those that enjoyed/hated the game). I'm playing through Quake 4 and it's another 2004-era engine so it's very efficient. Prey was supposedly pretty good as well.

Oh, I just realized you want multiplayer. Quake 4 is a good choice there. I don't play much MP aside from CSS and DoDS thesedays.

Get Chronicles of Riddick. That game has aged really well.

Iv noticed that Chronicles of Riddick seems to have OpenGL problems with the Nvidia 8 series cards, but i would recomend Quake4, FarCry, or anything running on the Source engine!

Call of Duty 4 is the best multiplayer game out right now and scales down extremely well to weaker systems. I played it very smoothly on my laptop of similar specs (2.16 centrino duo with a 256mb FireGL 5200).
