Hey all, I'm looking for a great MMO that is a nice alternative to World of Warcraft and Guild Wars. I enjoyed the freedom you got in Wow, but the huge time needed to level was too much for me to spare. I also like the fact that with GW wasn't all-consuming, but I felt that it is a bit linear. Is there any other MMO that seems to get the best of both worlds? I'm looking for something fairly recent that has a good player base, or something thats coming out in the near future, before summer. Thanks!
Does it have to be in a fantasy world? I hear Eve Online, a sci fi MMO, isn't all-consuming, and there's basically no set path to follow. You can actually gain levels off-line I've heard, but I guess you can also die when you're off-line heh.
