I'm thinking about getting a gaming keyboard/mouse. I heard the G keys in Logitech's keyboards can perform macros, some kind of complex actions. What are these and how could I use them in online games?

there like hotkeys you can customize in the software like a certain key to perfrom a certain move or action in a game there not really all that only like for RTS games or mmorpgs like world of warcraft but for FPS games a simple keyboard will do you good

A macro is like a stored set of key operations. For example in cs source you could make a command line that buys you an M4, kevlar armor, and an HE grenade, then store it to a macro. Then you press the key and it buys them instantly insteading of having to click each one. Although you have to save them to a key on the keyboard, such as "P", then store P as the macro key, but trust me its easier then having to search around the keyboard.
