I was wondering, which of these two is a better pc company and have the best computers.

Well if we are talking about laptops then Dell is much better, HP is THE worst major manufacturer of laptops!
Don't buy computers from either of these companies unless you are planning to buy a laptop then buy one from dell.I was wondering, which of these two is a better pc company and have the best computers.

Alright, soooo... which desktop company should I trust and be satisfied with?FiFa_kirikikinone. You should either build your own or have someone build it for you ;) :)

I dissagree with this. I got a PC built at a local tigerdirect and had nothing but problems, after rma'ing the most of my parts, i sold it.
I bought a Gateway which i would have paid equal, or more for if i built it. And i have a warrenty.
If you build a PC, do it yourself and make sure its right. Then pray you dont run into issues.
Im not saying dont build computers, it saves alot of money. But i am in canada, and computer stuff here is expensive. Sometimes i can get better deals from companies.

That's why I build computers for people in Canada ;)Do people actually give you money to build them computers? It just seems fishy to me.
Excuse me CryP_MX but Every-time you want a gaming pc it is cheaper to make it ur own on every deal I seen in 2 Year I'm Canadian : one of the best Canadian PC builder around i can't even count as well the people iv helped in usa to build there pc via newegg.com
and Rascoqaz no need to give the money to the person . you just need to trust how she/he will spend ur money from ur budget to get the very best of ur buck $$ MY reputation is Very high on building pc so is ultimategamer95 even tough she builded less pc then me perhaps but she know as much and i support her
the thing is if you want a real sweet gaming pc in canada it cost from 700$ to 1000$ and il pick everything from a list On newegg.ca / ncix.com / directcanada So you need 9 Part's In a PC : 10 If you Overclock (The Afermarket cpu cooler)
here Example of a Expensive Build : core i7 920 285$ + X58 250$ + 3x2GB Ram 180-200$ = around 820$ include TAX / Shipping
Then you need a PSU 64.99 - 150$ / HDD 100$-120$ for 1TB / VIDEO CARd 100-400$ / OS 125$
all you need after is the DVD Drive / Cpu cooler and you'r in the Gaming at 1680x1050 / 1920x1200 with very good experience
but then again you can find a cheaper build with an Am3 socket & DDR3 but if you OC the AM3 Socket they wil perform very close to Core i7 920
it up to you too you topic Creator if you do it ur self the pc will end up Twice Faster then any pre-build iv checked many time there just no pre-build sales even at tigerdirect.ca that does beat own build part by part even tough some deal where close for mobo & cpu deal but then iv done better many time
100% agree with post above i wouldn't buy bomb fom HP to kill myself
right now i have one of their laptops and having installed Win 7
can't find any drivers on their site .Their CS in Europe is rubbish, build it yourself,i built first PC
simply by following instructions on some piece of paper that came with MB it works to this day :D
When you build you can pick and mix parts that you want not some cheap stuff they sell you .

Yes Marc has done the same thing I'm trying to do for people right now and that's building people pcs in both our home country and other countries. Basically you enter into a contract or agreement with some one and they pay you to build and buy the parts for them. This is vey similar to how ibuypower and cyberpower operate, although I realize that these places have more of a track record than Marc and I do however, we are very honest and trustworthy people who take this business very seriously.Excuse me CryP_MX but Every-time you want a gaming pc it is cheaper to make it ur own on every deal I seen in 2 Year I'm Canadian : one of the best Canadian PC builder around i can't even count as well the people iv helped in usa to build there pc via newegg.com

Alright, soooo... which desktop company should I trust and be satisfied with?FiFa_kirikikiyou should never but a brand name desktop. go to your computer shop and get them to build one to your specs. or build your own. much cheaper and you get a better computer.

???:? :roll:HP is better at least they never locked their computer with own standards in the past.

I agree..Dell tries everything they can to lock down specific things with their computer. What's the reason for using a BTX case design? What's the reason for using underpowered PSU's? They do allot of bad things that I question but some of their PC's do visually look stunning.HP is better at least they never locked their computer with own standards in the past.

you should learn it its an internal language.
Well im canadian, and i got the pc you see in my rig for 1500 about 5 months ago.
GTX 285= 450$(newegg.ca or tigerdirect.ca)
Core i7 920= 300$
12gb ddr3 ram= 400$
750 watt psu= 120$
thats 1220 already, not including tax. And not including motherboard. But i also got a warrenty, a keyboard and mouse, a free windows 7 upgrade.
So id say my pc was a pretty good deal.
If you live in canada, i dont know how your getting the prices you mentioned. It is impossible.
well 400$ = HD5870 = Better then 285GTX : and iv mention from 100-400$ GPU setup's so basically
core i7 920 : 300$+200$ 3x2GB + a 80-120$ PSU + X58 at 228$ you get 500+80-100+228$ = 828$
+5% if outside of BC Sales Tax that doesn't involve PST : Example Ontario / Quebec / Alberta / Manitoba / Saskatchewan does pay onyly the 5% GST of the tax when purchasing from www.ncix.com : While newegg.ca so far Quebec don't pay the PST and only the GST but ontario pay both
So if you calculate a 400$ GPU = 1200$ + A OS / HDD = 125$+64.99/119,99$ (depending of the HDD) = 1200+125$=1325+1TB would be +100$ = 1425$CAD : You add Tax & shipping = 1500$ around : and it an enthusiast 1920x1200 PC :
If he doesn't have 1920x1200 / 1680x1050 you add +150-300$ a monitor do hope those mathematics Equation sound right to you ? it not impossible it just take Knowledge iv acquired that with experience & Benchmark
That would be a enthusiast Builds But I regard him fron against any pre-build i can defeat it by a large margin my experience is very high in building pc he would as well get suggestion from a Bunch of member that help people there at last a dozen of us daily active including me & ultimategamer95 Being the most Active & popular : Can't help it ;)
well now, my intentions stand on getting a desktop, not a laptop. I already have a basic laptop, Acer, which runs good and I dont use it for high performance stuff, but for college homeworks and other basic uses. FiFa_kirikikiAhhhh. In that case, I'd go with everyone and say build one :P If you don't want to, I would go with an HP. My dad has 3 of them, and they are all very solid, including the one that's 6 years old.
Dell Xps 630 isn't to bad. I gots an e8400 with 4 gigs of ram and a gtx 285. Though I should've got a quad core argh!!!!
no ultimategamer95 doesn't charge : unless she doing weird purolator / ups shipping for build it at her home then send you back lolll Anyway i can do it as well :P but ultimategamer95 want to build it that badly lol
so if you don't know how to assemble it at home a tech from a local pc shop will do it mostly for 50$US such as a Tigerdirect.com store / Micro-center and Small Local PC shop : also some Technical support PC Business that are Local may offer the option
Iv Build PC damn a Lot of Time and me and ultimategamer95 mostly all come to the same part seleciton in enthusiast PC we can go in a Suggestion
Maybe id suggest if you pay lot
CPU Core i7 920 2.6Ghz D0 Stepping (Potential of Overclock to 4.2 / 4.3ghz with Cpu Cooler suggested below)
Motherboard X58 Gigabyte UD5 + 3x2GB 1600mhz (maybe the OCZ reaper Low voltage)
GPU : HD5970 600$(The performances of TWO 5870 IF you do the overclock)
Power supply 750-1000w 100-200$
Case HAF 932 140-160$
HDD : 1TB Samsung spintpoint F3 80$ : the Fastest 1TB
OS : Window 7 OEM Home premium 64 Bits 120$ / Professional 64 Bits 140$
Cpu Cooler : For Overclocking Prolimatech megahalems + 1x 120mm Fan Scythe ultra kaze 3000rpm
With that that would be Very High Enthusiast PC Build for Gaming that does beat any competitor on all aspect : let see what you come with UG ;)
It's better for you to have someone build you an entirely new computer because you won't be able to upgrade your CPU very far and by the time you do upgrade then you could have spent that money towards an entirely new computer anyway ;) :). So what's you tentative budget? But I was wondering can't I just upgrade my graphic card and cpu? I keep the rest? will it run ok?
