whats BIOS? a little help pleae

I wanted to build my own pc,now I got the parts and put theme together, but I dont know about this BIOS, what things I should change? What ist good for?

Ist ok to leave it alone?

BIOS is the leading cause of male infertility.

Or it is very complex code written in C/Assembly... that just recognizes all your hardware, it's blue. You can change options in it for your specific needs, although automatic is almost always fine. It's really simple to navigate, and if you can always reset your changes. If your computer does not boot, just take the cmos battery out on the motherboard, disconnect power, wait an hour, and wallah, backonline.
