How recent of a card to you need in order to do this? I mean I have a 4890 at the moment, and a 7600GT in my old system...so could I stick that 7600GT in my new system as a physx card or is it too old?You should have the option of Nvidia AND ATI, thoose could be in the same PC!
(ATI as Main GPU and Nvidia as a physx card, this is a common setup.)

That sounds sweet :) best of both worlds[QUOTE="swehunt"]How recent of a card to you need in order to do this? You can't use PhysX with ATI setup and will never be able wit offical driver you may be able with 1.80 & older & ATI CCC 9.1 in a big Word. outdated driver And any OutDated Driver you will see a dramatic FPS Lose in Recent Game played they usally focus only on title that people really care for such as GTA IV / Far cry 2 / Fallout 3/ Cryisis & Warhead / Dead space / Left 4 Dead /You should have the option of Nvidia AND ATI, thoose could be in the same PC!

It's too old, PhysX is only supported on Nvidia GeForce 8 series and above.

well from forum and people who tested they where unable to run ATI CCC + Nvidia Phsy X with any other Driver then 9.1 which did include Ageia Phsy X Driver : after that it was said to being made impossible because of Legal Issue they removed it and that since without run ATI CCC 9.1 you can't use it
perhap on window 7 you can but i haven't heard of it of anyone who did run a Version higher then ATI CCC 9.1 With HD4000 with PhsyX such as in the game game Batman AA : if one as benchmark / picture of them running PhsyX inside newest PhsyX game with ATI CCC 9.9 & Nvidia Lastest Driver id be impress ;)
Cause as of now it running outdated Driver to run it and it not good for game fps : i even remember a Discussion about it with LordEc911 and mike4realz
But he said (185 or below) or else it don't work tough i wonder what veriosn of ATI CCC he use it haven't gone further the discussion
and well as it going the Driver are just getting more oudated like if you compare ATI CCC 8.12 to 9.9 For Fallout 3 & Cryisis Warhead there a huge increase in fps for over 20 game as well
Single GTX260 Core 216 at the moment... Will upgrade to a GT300 series when they are released though...

Running 2 9800 GX2's in Quad SLI. Waiting for nVidia to release their new gt300 line before I make a decision on weather to upgrade to ATI or stay with nVidia.

Well I'm rebooting now to get 3.8 by just increasing CPU/NB frequency by a little bit so you'll wait a few minutes for that ;). For GT300 though, it's up to nvidia.

It's up to Nvidia now.. Im sure that's a comfort to us all
GTX 285 SLI. Rediculous performance at a reasonable price.
9800GTE (No 6-pin PCIE) in my mini-ITX build
4500MHD in my notebook.
ummm, i think "reasonable" differs from person to person, especially when your refering to having 2x GTX285's!GTX 285 SLI. Rediculous performance at a reasonable price.

Nah everyone is Bill Gates in his opinion.
Reasonable meaning I work for a living and can afford to invest a few hundred dollars in an activity that's important to me.
I forgot that this board is primarily populated by young pups who have not begun their soul-crushing adventure into the working world yet.

I've been on the "soul-crushing adventure" for some time now, and I still think that a system with an i7 and 2 GTX285's is a little more than "reasonable" to most working adults. My own GPU isn't what I'd call "reasonable," and it costs considerably less than 2 285's. Most people who make an average income, and want to spend on some other nice things other than their computers will agree with me, I have no doubt.
