Whats so good about Divinity 2?

I heard some pretty bad things about this game when it first released. How much did the "remastered" edition fix overall? Also is the story any good?

It's a good game, the remastered version fixes performance and balance issue, improve some graphics... there are plenty of reviews about. The story is decent; the writing is good with some occasionally clever and funny dialogue. Better writing than you usually see in RPGs.
