i find that any plaing multimedia keyboard will get the job done for gaming all these "gaming" keyboards is just marketing while on the other hand "gaming" mice, thats different a gaming mouse is alot more helpful. But now if your looking for a good looking keyboard and have the cash buy the Enermax Aluminum keyboard its pricy but very nice looking with its black hairbrush paint coating, its very silent and you wont hear the irritating clicking noice. Though since its alumium its abit pricey.
You can look at getting the Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. Its a down-tilting design which will protect you from RSI but deliver a great typing and gaming experience. Cost $35. www.microsoft.com/hardware. Davyvfr
The 4000 is nice, but the space bar on mine is a little too stiff (maybe that'll change with use). The Logitech Wave is nice too & not too fancy. It comes in wired & cordless versions.

I love this keyboard by Saitek. It really isn't anything too fancy - it just feels great on my fingers, its quiet, and it looks awesome. It is black and silver and back lit in blue. Definately worth checking out.
Logitek G11 is best for gamers who like RPG's, RTS or FPS.hongkingkongspend a little more on a g15 v2 and you have a screen and a much smaller keyboard
I have the g15 v2 Very small compared to g15 v1. Well designed and its features are very useful. 9/10!

I heard the v2 is worse than v1.

That comes down to personal preference for the most part, but I personally hate the second version, they should have named it G16 or something other than G15v2 if you ask me.
well thanks for the feedback guys, i decided to discart the g15 even tho its an awesome keyboard it seems that the USB ports are only 1.0 and not 2.0 ports which was a major let down for me(even the 2007 version uses 1.0 ports instead of 2.0) so now
So now iam tryng to decide between the Lycosa/Saitek Eclipse II and the Saitek Cyborg(Ive seem some video reviews and the pictures don't really make justice to how he really lookcs) but i cant find much info on the last one since it isn't available in many sites and there are only a few reviews about it, still you guys helped me a lot thanks again
heres a few links to the cyborg btw http://www.saitekusa.com/usa/prod/cykeyv2.htm

I just picked up a G15 and I love it! The lighted keyboard is a must have... and I'm digging the fact that my system temps can be displayed on the LCD.

Seriously, its pretty much a whole different keyboard. It would also be eaiser on customers had they called it the G16. IMO the G15 V1 is a heck of alot better, and has more macro keys than the revision. Plus their is already and established mod community dedicated to the version 1. Many of the mods dont even work with V2.Just a little tip. The reason its at 1.1 USB is because if it were 2.0 people would be getting a USB Bandwidth exceeded error. Theirs too much information with all the mods running and peripherals such as a mouse/webcam/microphone/ipod to all go through 1 jack. You can get a keyboard with 2.0 but if you planning on using it for high speed devices it wont really make a difference.well thanks for the feedback guys, i decided to discart the g15 even tho its an awesome keyboard it seems that the USB ports are only 1.0 and not 2.0 ports which was a major let down for me(even the 2007 version uses 1.0 ports instead of 2.0) so now

Saitek Eclipse 2 keyboard is a fine choice for both general use and gaming!
Logitech G15 and G11 are also good
consider the G15 and the Saitek if your want a high-end keyboard and a backlight keys for playing in the dark
doesnt get much better than this

g15v2>>>>g15v1 The v2 looks so much better than the v1 and the it has 18 macros, you don't need the 48 the V1 has it just makes the keyboard a lot bigger. Although I do like the volume slide on the v1 better than the buttons on the v2achilles614
agreed, ive seen screenshots of both versions on dark rooms and the orange backlighting looks so much better on v2, not to mention the size is smaller and the LCD screen also looks better, still ive heard that the saitek's and the lycosa are more comfoble when typing, il see if i can test trive them before i make a final decision, afterall if iam going to expend that much on a keyboard i must be 100% sure that its going to be an improvement from my 12$ Vcom which i love but its kinda buggy after i spilled some water on it, still works fine, but now all the keys feel mushy, and ive owned him for about 2years its time for a new one anyway

The g15 (either version) is amazingly confortable, the keys feel smooth, are quiet, and responsive. I personally recommend the g15 v2 I was able to get it for 80 so that's not too bad. Please Log In to post.
