Hi guys I have just started making youtube videos, but I have realised that my webcam has a really bad microphone... What microphone would you recommend for around £20-£50.

@geoboy4000: I'd say Blue Yeti but that's 100 pound, got an alternative though - from the same company different mic : Snowball-iCE

You can get cheaper mic but it won't be at the same quality so depends on you.

I have heard that the snowball is good... I mean how much of a difference is there between the two?

Thanks for moving this - sorry i'm getting used to where everything is

@geoboy4000: Yeti go Sample Rate: 48 kHz while Snowball got 44.1 kHz

Yeti got Frequency Response: 20Hz - 20kHz while Snowball got 40Hz –18 kHz

There is a difference, how much? well not so much I'd say

The Yeti Pro on the other hand which I assume will cost 200 pound is actually better than both Yeti and Snowball but that's a whole other league.

I would say starting off with getting the Blue Snowball-Ice, and depending on your setup, do a DIY portable sound booth.

I personally use the AT 2020 for my mic.
