My votes for the 4890, because you get a lot of power for a resonable price. What are your thoughts?

From the one benchmark review I looked at (I believe it was from Tom's Hardware) when comparing the 260 to the 4890, the 4890 was the winner. So I'd have to say the 4890. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to do further research, of course.

Not really, I got my Sapphire 4890 Vapor X for $165 on Newegg that's $95 less then the cheapest 5850. Also I recently saw the GTX 260 drop to $140, you just have to watch out for deals.

+1 Bought mine for just under $200. I play Crysis @ 1920 x 1080 at around 56fps. Good enough for me. (It's over clocked though. 950/1170)

I know hardware is typically cheaper in US compared to Canada but you have to wonder what's going on here when a place like Futureshop charges $260 for a 4870 1GB card and I can get the exact same one at a local system builder's store for $180. But overall the GPU's here cost $30-50 more than US.

There's a little PC shop on College and Spadina that I go to and they currently sell the 4890 ofr under 200, and believe it or not the Sapphire HD5770 1G GDDR5 for 179!?
