What would be the best way to keep the temperature down on two Visiontek Radeon HD 4870 graphics cards? I've heard they run pretty hot, and wanted to know what would be my air and water cooling options. I'm using an MSI X48C Platinum mobo and a Thermaltake VH8000BWS Armor+ MX ATX Mid-Tower Case.

Just turn the fan speed up on them. Google it.

Fan speed 30-35% and good air flow will keep it within acceptable temps and won't result in the hairdryer effect of cranking up the fan speed.

Yeah that is probably the best way to go. I've had to do it on both my girlfriends and my own rig for the 4870. After fresh installs, we were getting 80 degree temps on idle, which is just crazy. After using the method above, we're down to 40 on idle using a value of 40%. I think running Crysis for a while, I max out at around 57, which is damn fine in comparison.
