What's the specific point or element that distinguishes our platform from the others? I haven't noticed anything...

The games? Ja,ja,ja!!!

Since when did our platform depend on multi-platform games to subsist?

The money? Ja,ja,ja!!!

Yeah, that's quite a difference. All our powerful hardware derives from a vast payment we made to equal the performance and quality of other platforms.People might say that the computers bring better visual elements, but for what?? For multi-platform games?! C'mon... If we paid such amount of money, shouldn't we deserve a difference? I guess not...

The graphics? Ja,ja,ja!!!

Yeah,we've got "Direct X10".We can play "Assassin's Creed","Gears of War","Lost Planet"...Plenty of worthless games for a minor group of computer users.I don't understand this...

Many of you people are smart enough to understand what i mean.Don't you want a difference?

Let's say "Baldur's Gate","Half Life","Fallout","Deus Ex","Elder Scrolls","Dawn of War","Ultima Online"...Here's the difference. The games we pretend to revive,to bring some logical sense to our platform. Why should we keep living in the past?! Don't we have any future?!?!

Many people said that this platform is already dead,i'm about to reach to the same conclusion.

*Sigh* Why is it so hard to be a gamer and not just a console gamer or PC Gamer? I mean seriously, I own a PC, 360, and a Wii and guess what I play the most? The PC. Reason why? I like the control scheme, the indie games, free multiplayer, and mods. But should we be harping on a person who likes consoles more because we play the PC? I don't think so but hey, what every floats your boat.

The fact that a RTS on a console is ridiculous, its a PC genre. FPS is similar but not to the same extent because using a thumbstick on a gamepad is never as precise as using a mouse. Plus everything is alot more customizable. Thats my two cents.

Games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and The Witcher disagrees with you. PC market is shifting, it's not dying.

If the format doesn't work on the machine you're developing for, what do you do? You change the format so it does work for the machine. And if multiplatting is the future, well, maybe you can see where I'm going with this...

Rysladar, here is what defines PC gaming:

qwerty

qwerty

You may be able to play the same games on consoles, and they may look almost as good (it doesn't take DX10 for PC games to look way better, by the way), but the above is what makes it all worthwhile.

The PC has a rich and exciting future - that most of the games coming are also available on console doesn't mean much. Multiplatform games aren't inherently bad, and some of the best games ever made are multiplatform games, or even console exclusives.

If you want to give up on PC gaming, I doubt anyone'll care. Enjoy playing Episode 3 with a pad.

I don't recall you saying that to me. You must have me confused with someone else. I'm not mfsa - but while we're having fun with wild, unfounded accusations - I think you're mfsa.

And, uh, I imagine the only reason you might want me to not reply to you is that you say such absurd things and can't back them up. That's fine with me. Stop saying such absurd things and I won't need to reply to them.

Rylsadar

Aren't you the guy that used to create atleast 2 topics a week where you would rant on about how PC gaming is dead? I think your above sentence makes no sense because you've already reached that conclusion a few months ago.

The difference in PC Gaming as of late is the graphics, control, and mods. Same as always.

If PC gaming is dead then sell your computer on ebay. Or if that takes too long, open your window and drop it out.

I gotta agree, then we won't need to rehash this topic again! I prefer the PC because of its versitility, internet, music, work, gaming, content creation. The consoles are getting better in this aspect, but ultimately they'll just be branded and retarded cousins of the PC. By no means is PC gaming dead...
