Not much difference really. But to tell you the truth, I would recommend just staying far away from Mac gaming in general. :|PandaBear86
Defiantly agree...
Macs ARE PCs .... PC = personal computer. I think your question better relates to MAC vs WINDOWS. Yes i realize that the boxes say PC and Mac on them but thats just as stupid as having companies look at 1gig as 1000megs when in reality its 1024 so your really getting less ...
Macs are not really gaming machines, they are usually tough to upgrade because of macintosh's closed down system of computer creation and thus the graphics acclerators on said machines are USUALLY substantially subpar. That being said, most mac games dont run natively on macs and are emulated in one way or another because most games are developed on the Microsoft system of DirectX which Macs do not read or use.
The jist of this is stay away from macs if you want to game, they are dodgy in terms of what macs are even powerful enough to play said game and even then most games are not developed for macs anyway...

well...i'm gonna have to look at the bright side...it's probably a mistake you won't be able to top in a long while. ;)
anyway, due to the nature of my job i share a Mac station with a couple of other people in the office ( on top of our own cubicle and pc, of coz ). i haven't been able to find anything that i like so far -- as a graphic design tool, it's incredibly powerful, but at the same time also not very user-friendly. and while the UI is quite intuitive, it also suffers from an awkwardness that i attribute to Apple's wanting to be different just for the sake of it.
but one thing is for sure. a Mac is VERY stable. it might not be incredibly fast, but it never hung up on me.

crysis MP is so horrible, its not even supported anymore.

I hate COD4's MP so i figured it was a terrible example for him to use..Crysis's MP was good then. I hated COD4's MP. Sure there was the whole "Build you own cIass OMG!" option, but it was nothing new to me, and hardly fun. I enjoyed the Powerstruggle maps on Crysis, they were chalenging and fun. Just because it's not supported doesn't mean it's horrible. I mean, look at DOOM it's a cIassic, but i can't run it on windows xp without using dos-box or something like that. Does that mean DOOM sucks? haha.
Nibroc420
Terrible example? Says you. Create a poll to see what others think. You'll be suprised.
Can you tell me what makes Crysis MP so unique? No i don't wanna hear the same old lines "it has great graphics", "the nano-suit" and the rest of the blah. Tell me what feature Crysis MP has that wasn't present in the SP.

Well Mac and PCs are both personal computers allowing you to spec them really high end for gaming. However I will trend towards PCs due to PCs always have better benchmarks then the macs in gaming applications including more game support.
It's weird really because macs seem to always obtain the latest hardware for example you can already 8 core a mac. Still when it comes to gaming a Windows OS Pc is the way to go.

PCs are a highly overrated and watered down version of something good and Macs are something original but with lots of problems?

PCs fight terrorism and MACs fight alien invasions

Wait, so Macs are more advanced graphically, are on a larger scale, are more interactive, more moddable but come with more problems?
Something's not right here.
its the same game. but devs need to make different version because, by default, macs use a different OS completly. it has more in common with linux than windows in terms of the way it works in the background. thats why u see mac versions of games. i see both versions come on the one disc though sometimes (liek warcraft 3).
now if u plonk windows on a mac then u can buy and install PC games....the hardware is the same overall.
Macs are for people who don't know how to use computers.Guiltfeeder566
yeah, and you can even say that in a "un-mean" way because most people buy macs for simplicity, not for GAMING
Ive always seen a game for PC and the same game for MAC (example. Star Wars Empire at War) but whats the difference?axx1000
i doubt you've 'always' seen a game for both platforms - one of the problems is that not that many games are produced in Mac version
also macs are generally harder to customise and adapt, meaning you're buying a sealed box that looks nice but which you have to throw out when it's obsolete
also Macs are not as good for gaming because there's no right click which makes them, to use a technical term, rubbish

Mighty Mouse says hi.
Whats the difference betwean PC and MAC?
The price tag.
You can get a Mac with Intel mobos and the like now. But generally Macs are much more expensive then say, building it yourself.
the difference is that macs are for hip, young professionals and pcs are for fat nerds with glasses.fireandcloud
And who wouldn't want to be fat nerds with glasses? I'm one, though I recently have dissociated myself from the fat part. ;)
Nothing usually. Maybe something little. That's like comparing a game from the XBOX 360 to the same game on the PS3. bedram793
ps3 is better graphics then 360.

i was just making fun of the apple commercials. but yeah - i'm a nerd too; and a little bit fat. i hate all this mac fad; i used to have an ibook a long time ago (back when they were ugly and clam-shaped), and i'm glad i got out of that. pc gaming rules; that's all there is to it.

Yes some PS3 exclusives look better than 360 exclusives. But all multiplatform games look either the same on both consoles or better on 360. Tbh, I haven't seen any that are better on PS3 yet.

All the multiplat games ive played on both the ps3 and 360 have mostly been better and looked better on the 360.
Overall though i think the two best LOOKING games on the two systems are MGS and Kameo.

Mac are for wannabe hipsters.
PCs are for gamers.
As a graphic designer for a Print/Online newspaper we were forced to switch to Macs when CS3 came out. TONS of networking problems and such. I run CS3 on my home computer now running VISTA and MAC can't compare. I'm tired of people saying MAC runs graphical programs better. The real discussion is operating systems. If you have the right hardware hands down PC will win. I hate MACS. Get a PC and equip it with enough RAM and you will be good to go. Some people will bring up the argument that a MAC can run Windows. Poor argument, because why don't you just get a PC if you need to run Windows.

lol....i have a PC, i'm not fat, i don't wear glasses, i'm into sports(football+basketball) and i love head-banging metal music. But i guess i'm still a fat nerd with glasses compared to Mac owners.:P
