Not the hardest game I've ever played, but play some CSS. That'll whet your "must... have... INTENSITY!" appetite. 8)
Dragon (effect) age 2 on Nightmare comes to mind, it is so bloody hard that it will make you cry, and thing it, it is only hard because it is stupid and unbalanced. Your team takes aoe dmg from allys, only problem is that the frigin game was made around aoe dmg, and it renders many classes and speccs right out unplayable.

Dead Space 2cluclap
Have you played any games in your life besides Dead Space 2? lol
IMO games arent hard anymore like they used to. But playing multiplayer games is the best challenge you can get, especially with RTS's.
Most recently maybe Dead Nation on PS3..
All time probably X-Men on SNES..never ever beat it & I can't even remember why.
any body remember the commandos series? they were quite tough, though they mellowed down with commandos strike force(bad game anyway with a FP perspective)
Wizardry 8 in Ironman mode or pretty much any roguelike (ADOM, Nethack, Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, Angband, etc.).
Trying to look for some very challenging games. any advice?CloudSnapGRAW baby. Has nothing to do with the avatar lol. Was just a tough, tough game with huge levels and few checkpoints to save at. Nothing worse than spending an hour into a mission only to die right before completion.
Quake 4 darn that game got hard after awhile.

Really? There were point which were hard, especially with a lot of strogg showing up at once, but by that time you had the BFG...

Thats what came to mind i am sure i have played much harder games i just can't think of them right now.Metroid from NES. The rest is easier.
Most of older games are harder than today's.

I agree. I recently started playing Metroid on NES again, and it's not very easy. A lot of those older games had pretty challenging levels. Some of the Mega Man games, as well.
As far as PC games go, I had a very hard time at the end of NWN2. The last battle was ridiculously hard for me.
Dragon Age. Even playing it on the easiest difficulty is challenging but I loved every minute of it. biggest_loserI agree with this, I havent played it in over a month but dam if just stopped paying attention to my characters for like 10 secs one was bound to die.
Jagged Alliance 1 and 2, I pick EASY difficulty every time, and even that is very hard. I've done hard difficulty on them before and without abusing quicksave, you get ur mercs shot up before u get a chance to do anything. Its not a good thing either, this game series is great other then the weird difficulty. Having to save before every turn is really unrealistic and takes away from the realism.
