so, i tried to play the game and i used auto configure fro teh video options and it set everythign on high and the game won't run right...it's eally choppy and even if i put it on all low settings it does the same thing...wtf
Until you post your pc specs then we won't be able to give you an answer. I'm guessing your video card is lacking and its running choppy as a result of that.

How can we help you if we don't know your pc specs?
I can't handle high settings, sorry. Try it again on medium and it should do the trick. If not, then play around with the settings yourself until you get decent performance. It's your GPU and CPu that are holding you back.
The problem is your graphics card. All your other specs are perfectly fine. While the X800 was an excellent card, the X700 wasn't even close. I would definately recommend upgrading it.
1st hand experiencing testing both. The X800 was fine for this game and could handle high resolution as long as no AA or AF, but X700 has half the pipelines of the X800 and even struggles on low and is a budget level card. From X1900 and up to present cards, you can max out settings. Even the current generation budget cards will run this game on high settings.
