I'm not a fan of any of these games but i have played a few including the new Rainbow Six Vegas & Ghost Recon, i've noticed that

both games run like crap on any setting, even if it's on minimum. This is in both the games & i'm running a decent spec PC which should be able to run it on med/high, but it seems as if these games are just badly designed for the PC.

I'm bored, so just wanted to know your views (if it happens with you) :)

Cheers.

give us your specs and we'll be able to reply more effectively if you really want a decent reply. my rig can handle any clancy game out there right now at maxed out on all settings. your specs are important in determining whether or not a game will be playable, look good and play right, and also, are you a graphics whore or a person who looks for gameplay over graphics - orrr, both?

yeah, recent ubisoft games have been extremely poorly optimised recently

GRAW ran terribly, even on a 7800 -which was the high end card of the time

double agent had performance issues too, again with a 7800, though by that time the card was starting to show its age

i had no real problems with R6: vegas, though - i had to knock the resolution down a notch from what i'm used toto keep the frame rate steady, but my gpu was over two years old by that point - so it didn't strike me as too unusual

now that i have an 8800, i have nothing to complain about - but recent ubisoft games have definitely been poor, and i find myself wondering if future ubisoft games will run okay

a thing to note, though, is that ubisoft was actively supporting as many as seven systems with previous games - and the pc version is really the one that needs the most love and attention, and it just didn't get it... now that ubisoft is strictly next gen console & pc (and supposedly wants to re-establish itself as a major player in the pc market), we might see much improvement
