Modern Warfare, Rage, who knows what else. It's like they're turning the PC into another console.

It may be easier to try to just give us a 360 version than to try to actually utilize the PCplatform I guess. it could be due to laziness, or to some developers not caring about us. it could be because our modders put out better add ons than they do at no cost (think the tac nuke on Modern warfare), it could also because without mods it makes it easier to shove DLC down our throats. There is no good answer whatever it may be.
Consoles. Cheaper to do direct ports from the xbox and just tweak a few things for keyboard/mouse.
I think that the devs are getting ready to really push the pay DLC for PC games. Which IMO is the only reason IW doesn't want dedicated server support for MW2, they want to sell map packs for the next few years and make more money off their game. I think that a lot of PC gamers aren't going to like this, but its not going to stop some people from forking over the money for it...probably more than enough for them to justify the loss in sales of the games.

Even if the PC users put up a united front and don't buy even one copy of MW2 there will still be plenty of console versions sold which will make them more than enough money. it is a losing battle but I will still fight it.

But only if one chooses to use it. Also L4D/L4D2 (the only Valve game to use such and the only reason because it's a 4/8 player game) still retains dedicated servers and mod support. All those places you go to when you do use matchmaking? They're somebody's dedicated server.
