What was your favorite quote from any game?
Mine would probably have to be:
"CLEANSE, PURGE, KILL!"
or "WAAAAAAARGH!!" Both from Warhammer 40K DOW

"In the modern world great leaders resolved their conflicts with words, Words like, Scud Launcher, Tomahawk Missile"...(can'tremember the rest, i usauly cut to the main menue by that stage)

"Not even death can save you from me" -Diablo-Diablo 2
and in light of incubus's quote "Enemy submarine spotted!"-BF1942
Nothing like making submarine symobls all over El Alamein
Maybe not my favorite, but the "What can change the nature of a man?" line from PST is definitely one of the most memorable ones I've heard. _Memento_
That was good, but my favorite quote ever was a certain smallish part in the museum.. At this point, the Nameless One knows that the Hag has something to do with his immortality and always forgetting who he is, but he doesn't.. 'remember', of course.. Because of that.. He's struggling, but he's getting pretty close at this point in the game, and he keeps hearing all these references to himself, mysterious things where people are telling him they know things, but they can't actually tell him.. Very frustrating.. Some crazy people who aren't quite so crazy asked him something about if he really wants to know who he was..
Edit.. I just found what the quote was from.. In the museum you see a picture of the hag, and you 'remember' this actually happening to you (and gain some exp! :p)
The computer gamePlanescape: Torment contains a more macabre version of the joke, told by the character Morte:
An elderly man was sitting alone on a dark path, right? He wasn't certain of which direction to go, and he'd forgotten both where he was traveling to and whom he was. He'd sat down for a moment to rest his weary legs, and suddenly looked up to see an elderly woman before him. She grinned toothlessly and with a cackle, spoke: "Now your *third* wish. What will it be?""Third wish?" The man was baffled. "How can it be a third wish if I haven't had a first and second wish?""You've had two wishes already," the hag said, "but your second wish was for me to return everything to the way it was before you had made your first wish. That's why you remember nothing; because everything is the way it was before you made any wishes." She cackled at the poor berk. "So it is that you have one wish left.""All right," said the man, "I don't believe this, but there's no harm in wishing. I wish to know who I am.""Funny," said the old woman as she granted his wish and disappeared forever. "That was your first wish."

There's just something so brilliant about that type of foreshadowing.. It was just a brilliant story and it hit me hard, made my hairs stand on end.. That game is just so brilliant.. Constant brilliance! So many 'miniscule' little things, things you can so easily miss, yet every one of them is a deep and thoughtful concept. Can make you think, feel really sad, really frustrated for the character, feel angry.. It's such a powerful story in that game. I loved it, as you can probably tell :p
"I thought zee german engineering vas superior!"
German tank commander in a stug thats about to blow up
-Company of heroesÂ
Call of Duty 3 (i hated this game though): "We are on a mission to retrieve some doughnuts and coffee. The bad news is, the krauts drank all the coffee and ate all the doughnuts, so we gotta kick their asses" :lol:yellosnolvr
Thats the only thing i like about COD3. Its horrible compared to COD2.
Oh, and.. SPOILERS, sorry :p

Man... Just reading some of those quotes... You can see how amazingly brilliant Black Isle is.. And they made Fallout 1 and 2.. And supposedly assisted with Baldurs Gate series.. According to Wiki, at least.. It's so sad, in a way.. They were the only developers besides Troika that could weave brilliance through text in such a way.. I really need to play Fallout and BG :p
I remember this one.. One of the endings you can pick, when you finaly realize that the whole reasons for everything that happened is that you were somehow even more evil than the evil version of you that trained Ignus.. Which is amazing, because the stuff Ignus' master did was like.. every single terrible thing you can imagine, yet they say the original you did things many times more evil, which made it so you knew that if you died you'd go to the hell planes, the lowest levels, even.. And why you tried to become immortal and all that memory thing happened.. (and it's so wild that the 'good' incarnation of you was actually the most evil creature imaginable and was the original!) .. But at the end you can pick to be a good guy, and even though 'you' didn't really do it, you know that you did.. And after all those years and years of suffering without your memory, all those incarnations that were crazy and did so many things, and the current incarnation that suffered so much, and was so sad because he was helpless as all his allies suffered with and for him.. (depending on how you played :p), and you still decide to take responsibility.. Leave the girl you may have decided to fall in love with..
"I have committed many crimes across many lifetimes. I go now to a place of punishment. You cannot come with me. "
I don't know.. I'm sorry for spamming the hell out of this thread, but this game is just.. Too much, man :p Why can't there be more developers that can do things like this.. There aren't even any fricken NOVELS, who are absolutely nothing but story (no gameplay elements.. graphics.. Nothing!), that can even touch this little story in this little semi-well known old RPG PC game from way back when..Â
"When its going your way, its going your way" from Monster Truck Madness (windows 95 game)wjgia

Murray:And the forces of darkness will applaud me as I STRIDE through the gates of hell carrying your head on a pike!

lots of funny quotes lol
"All this time we got the fable of Sleeping Beauty wrong. The prince didn't kiss her to wake her up. No one who slept for a hundred years is likely to wake up. It was the other way round. He kisses her to wake himself up from the nightmare that has brought him there" Max Payne 2
"I said come in, don't stand there" bar guy in stalkerÂ
Â
"When does the hurting stop?" Caleb, Blood
"war, war never changes" Fallout
Duke Nukem 3D is also full of memorable onelinersÂ

oh and grim fandango's start had a nice quote, but i forgot
For me, it's gotta be one from Warcraft 3, "Get you finger out of that bunghole!", "You've got a chip on your shoulder", "Stop poking me!", Poke, poke, poke, is that all you do!", "oooh, that one felt kind of nice..."
The last three are from the orc grunts(i think) when you keep clicking on them.
