I've made it my goal as a gamer to avoid mods but I've always been interested in Garry's Mod. It looks like a really cool sandbox style game to goof around in. But, as I said, I don't play mods. So...

But, as I said, I don't play mods. So...I don't really think of Gmod as a mod (even though it has "mod" in the title). To me, Gmod is its own game because it has so much content. You shouldn't avoid mods though. Mods are almost always new and innovative in the gameplay style. Plus, most of them are free!

Starshine I'd recommend giving Garry's Mod a shot if it looks interesting to you; it's really awesome. :D
I like the 4 player co-op mod, but hate that everyone is a city 17 civilian model. It kind of ruins the immersion quite a bit, since I always would have imagined it as one Freeman and several rebels following him for a proper co-op mod.
