Eve Online. Even with the current controversy over the problem with dev's cheating. It stil the only SciFi MMO that lets you take complete control over your character and ads a level of realisim to the way you build them up. I think that by the time the game is over and the servers are taken off line that there will still wont be anybody with a "maxed out" character, and that will be many years from now. Outside of that, the MMO's that I keep going back to are Anarch Online, Auto Assault (dont give me any **** over this one, ^_^), CoH/CoV, and Star Wars: Galaxies. As for SWG, I got over the NGE roll over and have found it to be a far better game now even though I pretty much had to start over (my character was built up in a way that the respec just didnt let me correct him in the NGE system).Â
I'm really looking forward to Age of Conan, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Star Gate SG1  MMO's comming out (and a few others of course), but I dont think that the Firefly MMo will be that hot. I hope I'm wrong about Firefly, but the universe it's set in is just to generic. It was the characters that made the show and movie so good. I mean, it's really just plain jane star trek with no real aliens. Eh. There going to have to do a heck of a job putting in a good story to the game to make it fly and without Whedon on it, I just dont see it happening. At least SG1 has a varried galaxy to play in and lets you really play the "bad guys". That has better potential than CoV. Sorry about the rant for such a simple question. I just couldnt hold back, lol.Â
Presently - WoW
All time? - I sunk 5 years of my life into EQ1. I have so many fond memories of times in that game that I don't think any MMO will ever surpass it in my eyes.
EVE Online.
Although Anarchy Online and Asheron's Call have a special place in my heart.
Think anyone will say WWII online?
