What's your most favorite Gaming Genre and least favorite Gaming Genre?

Just felt like asking everyone their favorite and least favorite types of games.

My favorite would probably be RPG and least favorite; RTS.

least: RPGs without guns

Least Favorite: MMORPG and RTS (dislike both equally)

EDIT: Well to be honest, that is generally speaking (not only on PC). My Favorite on PC is RTS (but hate it on consoles). And my Least is still Fighting :?

Least favorte: Racing, no doubts here.

Favorite: RPG (preferably turn-based but pseudo turn-based will do since that's pretty much all that's made these days) and turn-based strategy games.

Least Favorite: Action adventure games, hack-n-slash/action RPGs, and RTS

RPG... actually I really like RPG games in theory, but I really HATE fantasy, which means that 99% of RPG games are killing the genre... if it wasn't because of all these fantasy RPG games, then RPG's would probably be my second favorite

I prefer strategy (not RTS) and adventure. Probably in that order.

I don't care for RPGs - and especially MMORPGs - a whole lot. Well, I don't mind the occasional RPG, but I dislike the genre and it's conventions overall. Simulators: can be fun to play around with now and then for a while, but they aren't really interesting from a challenge/competition or problem-solving perspective (unlike strategy games and adventures). I detest hazard games, slot machines, game shows, trivia games, and the likes, where luck and money are dominant factors. And "puzzle games" that are in effect little else than jig saw puzzles I mostly find boring.

Least Favorite: Fighters. I just suck at them...

My favorite games tend to be genre hybrids like Action RPG's or RTSRPG's

if i had to pick a favorite genre it would probably by RTT/small scale RTS games (micromanagement heavy, fewer units).

least favorite: MMO's of any kind, racing sims.

Irony here is oustanding. You do realise that by labelling a genre as gay you yourself appear childish? And by childish I assume you mean games without guns, blood and swearing right?

Favourite: 1) RPG, open-ended, roaming, story-driven; 2) ultrarealistic/tactical shooter (no, COD is not ultrarealistic); 3) Mahjong

Least favourite: MMO, horror, a lot of RTS

Favourite is simulation/strategy (though not RTS strategy). Least favourite would be MMO games.

Least favorite are RTSs. Use to love them with the original C&C and WC2. Don't know what happened. Never played a MMO so I can't rate them.

What is cool about video games, is that you can experiment, in a way, things that you won't do in your life. I love playing soccer in real-life. But a soccer video game doesn't appeal me that much because I'd rather play outside than on my screen. It has nothing that interesting and new since I love playing soccer IRL. It's the same for my guitar. I play a lot of electric guitar. So switching to a plastic guitar (Guitar Hero 3 for example) is way more boring than playing some real songs.

Yes, you will find these sports games interesting, but you won't have that much playing them knowing you could be outside and have much more fun with your friends.

Least favorite: Fighting games

Fav: RTS and FPS Equally

Least: MMORPG (WoW was a big waste of time)

Fav: Strategy games like Total War series and Knight of Honor

Least Fav: MMO, There is no proper ending

Favorite: RPG or platformer

Least favorite: most sports (I do like arcade racers like Burnout and Motorstorm)
