every signature i look into has a nvdia 8800 (well most of the sigs).. i thought only few people own Ultra high end cards in the world... so ive created a poll to check the real picture... pls select the graphics card you use right now... ive got a x1600xt :cry:shafrox
In active use here, there are three ATI X8xx VGAs and one Geforce 6800 GT. All have 256 MBs of VRAM. The three ATI cards, in order of performance, are an X850 Pro, an X800 XL, and the X800 XT-Platinum. There were many other gamers with those cards, but their "in between" nature betrayed them (Dx9.0"b", no SM 3). Very fast, but some of the newest games apparently don't run with them, although fixes are on the way!
selecting 8xxx can mean u have an 8400-8600. the poll can be misleading...if you trying to see who has the high end cards percentage.Darkfire6247
Another problem is that on a PC Hardware forum on games website, is you are going to find a higher percentage of "enthusiast" gamers than usual. IRL, there are more "average" and "casual" gamers.
Although, the 8xxx series (8800 especially) is quite popular, even just looking at steam's hardware survey, which is probably a little better than a forum poll :D http://www.steampowered.com/status/survey.html
btw - 8800GTS 320MB here! also a laptop w/8600M GT 256MB

Everybody's waiting for Nvidia to come out with the new 9800 series cards.
