I am building from scratch. I know I need to order (2) SATA II cables, but do I need to order a power cable for the Antec 900 case, one for the monitor? Also, What cable do I need to use for the monitor? I am buying a new Samsung 22" LCD and getting an HD 4870. Will its cable be included or do I need to buy that too? I ask because I do not live near a place where I can buy misc cables to get it all working. I need to buy everything in one shot. Thanks!

All the cables might come with the hardware.X360PS3AMD05

Fixed.

The motherboard will usually come with one or two SATA cables, and the power supply is the bit that comes with the power cable. Most decent monitors usually come with their own power and video cables (usually both DVI and VGA), but some don't.

It would be better if you gave us a list (including links) of the components you plan on purchasing so we can see if they're packaged in with the components or you need to buy them separately.

Ok great here is a list from Newegg.com

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151171 (DVD Drive)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021 (Case)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136161 (Hard Drive)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001268 (Monitor)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817815001 (PSU)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128347 (MB)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129113 (Video Card)

Didnt include links to ram and cpu as those dont need cables. Also do you agree with this card over the GTX 260? Anyways, cables is the big thing for me, itll suck to pay for more shipping if I come up short

Thx again

Your motherboard only comes with one SATA cable, but you need one for both the hard drive and optical drive (they're both OEM and will not come with cables). So you need to buy one of those.

The monitor and power supply both come with all the necessary cables, but I'd switch the power supply for the Corsair TX650, which is around the same price but higher quality.

The case itself has all its interior cables packaged with it, but that's just for the power/reset switches and power/HDD leds and the external audio/USB ports.

Not always. My motherboard came with 3 SATA cables. My case came with one SATA cable.

That shouldn't even be on your priority list.

Hey, that does look like two SATA cables now that I take a closer look at it. Jolly good, no cables needed at all then.

And Elann, the SATA cable that came with your case is probably for an eSATA port. I guess you could use it if you want, there's no harm in doing so.
