I ordered a 5970 two weeks ago, it was supposed to be received by the store today, but it hasn't, and they have no clue when they are going to be able to get their hands on a few. Is there any ETA on the next batch of cards?

Not sure, both ATI and Nvidia are having problems with low yields.

Uh, weren't they the same reason that nvidia was having problems before, and then they went "screw you" and went with another manufacturer? Which begs the question, why did NVIDIA (and now ATi too apparently) go back to TSMC?

Maybe they're the only ones that can make 40nm chips? I don't recall hearing anything about other manufacturers providing that manufacturing process.
