[QUOTE="markop2003"]*facepalms* The 8600gt is a graphics card not a physics card, you just wasted your moneyluamhtrad
Way to stay current. Here's your facepalm back... :roll:
I haven't kept up to date for the last year or so :P Seems sorta pointless to me though.... Anyway i suspect as it's driver enabled you'll have to preset it for that SLI mode also remember that your display should be plugged into the card in your first PCI-E slotWhen i put my physics card(a MSI 8600GT) in the case the regular graphics card (a EVGA 9800GX2) want work When i put the video cable to the graphics card and turn on the computer it says, no video input but when i put when i connect the screen to the physics card it works find, so what should i do?ralle_22
Due to the fact that the 9800GX2 is a type of single card SLI, it may not be a candidate for this type of setup. Because you technically have 3 cards in your system, I don't think it applies.

I hope not, when i drive physx on my 9800GX2 its lagg on UT3if i do that its just lagg, the FPS is then around 23
The strange thing is that when i driveUT3 on my 8600GT on higest settings i get around25FPS with means that withone core one my 9800GX2 i should get at least about 40FPSand onecore shouldbe able tohandel the physics, but its not. When i play on the light house level(special made for physx) i just get around 25FPS and its lag like hell :(
[QUOTE="X360PS3AMD05"]Wait what..........couldn't you just use 1 9800 and the other for physics?luamhtrad
The 9800GX2 is 2 cards sandwiched together on one PCI-E connector. There is no way to separate them.
You can drive both Graphics and Physics on the same cardYes i could but then the FPS is to low for the game to be playable Can 9800GT run Unreal Tournament 3 on highest settings with 1920x1020? ralle_22
No, I don't think the 9800GT can pull that off. I am upgrading from dual 8800GT's to dual GTX 260's (216 Core) today. I will enable Physx and see what the result is in the Lighthouse level in UT3 and report back.
I played the lighthouse and i was getting like 8 FPS, i suspect that the GPU accelerating wasnt turned on because thats what you usually get when you rending Physx with the GPU. Anyway, is there anything you have to do in the game to get GPU accelerating Physx? Got a polish version of the game so i dont understand a sh*t =p
You should be getting way more then 40fps with a 9800GX2. Even a 9800GTX gets 90+ fps easily.if i do that its just lagg, the FPS is then around 23
