So there is a high chance it'll start the 25th. I'll make sure to have some more money on paypal by then :P

It's not always the same. One year, I think 2010, it started the very last Friday of June and lasted through two full weekends (and the weekdays in between).

Last was started at Jule 1st and longed till jule 14.

Last year it was July 12

No the reason is because it makes them lots of money, both Valve and the developers/publishers.

Too be honest.. I might (MIGHT) get something this steam sale..

but honestly in a week and a half, 2 games I already own come out.. I will be busy with them for quite some time.

They can see up to a 3000% increase in revune. Its actually not for the consumer its a great way to generate revunue for a game that has slowed down 

Awesome, im pretty excited to see what they offer this round. My PC is ready.

Not much i want but i would get Far cry 3 with addon and all the addons to borderlands 2 if a good special. Also wouldn't mind Skyrim the new bundle one.

Damn more than i thought for what i wanted. Let the sale begin!

This will be my first Steam sale ( and only 2nd purchase after Civ 5 G & K) Is everything on sale? How much average discount is it? Was thinking of buying Fallout 3 cheap, see if my laptop could run it and if it did I'd get more on the sale. Oh, with Steam, if I buy something now then buy a new desktop in a few months, it's no issue to re-download them on the new computer? One last thing, why, is it so common for people to give $hit to Steam, what's the hate for? Sorry to hijack the threadangryassdrummer

My advice, wait for daily deals. Almost all games are on sale, but every day certain games go for an even deeper discount. It will be on the front page of steam.

This wasn't the case during the Christmas sale 2012. That sale was very subpar. Amazon, GMG, Gamersgate, etc. brought much better deals to the table.

Yeah it's still one of the top sellers on Steam even without sales. 50% off is the most you can expect, especially since Legendary Edition just came out a few weeks ago.

I'm just hoping to get 1 game on sale: Planetary Annahilation. It is the only one that interests me but the 83 Euros pricetag is offputing.

And maybe we get a mix-up like last sale when Sleeping Dogs was 90% off.
