Leaving aside the fact that "graphically impressive" is pure subjective, the only way you can compare two games from a graphical perspective is the tech they use and in that case I disagree. You sound like adamn fanboy. Compare the enviroments of Crysis 1 with the rather plain urban setting of Crysis 2 and the word "impressive" begins to pale.

No idea. I've had my share of the game, the singleplayer was a mixture of good with some great moments, and some of the most boring, uninspiring direction any shooter can have these days. Compared to what Crysis was, even Warhead it's an absolute shame, even if it is good. I don't want to touch the multiplayer with a ten foot pole, the horrible demo was enough for me. And don't see what good the update is going to do other than provide oohs for the ten people who have considered replaying or an incentive for those holding out to buy the game.

What's best is entirely subjective, there's a lot of irony in your statement on preferences in this regard.
What I can't understand is why all the whiners love to post unrelated comments on a thread about a game they didn't like. And by the way, the game isn't dead, dead is being unable to get in a single MP match, I saw 40-50 servers with a large ammount of people a few minutes ago.

So the best looking game ever is a console game? Better than all the hardcore PC exclusives??? Because thats what you're saying because the difference between the PC and console versions of Crysis 2 are so minute and so minuscule that you're basically saying a multiplat Xbox 360 game is the best looking game ever.
I think no one knows. Their PR is godawful, they always say soon. At this rate Maldo will finish his textures before the patch, wich shows a lot about how much work Crytek has put in the PC game.
I still think that from a tech point of view Metro 2033 has probably the most advanced engine to date. I wont say the underground levels are pretty lalala colors or anything. But the engine on that game and its capabilities surpass Crysis 2.

The thing is that Crysis 2 didn't really take advantage of what could be done with Cryengine 3, Crytek made the game with the mindset of having everything capable in the game done on consoles, and just create higher quality of those effects for PC. Metro took an approach of creating for PC and dialing back or completely removing features for the console. Cryengine 3 is capable of everything in the original Crysis plus the new tech features in Cryengine 3, along with greater optimization. The most impressive thing about Metro 2033 is the lighting, and Cryengine 3's lighting is more advanced, Metro attempts to simulate a Global Illumination system by creating new lights at various points where a light hist something, but Cryengine 3's global illumination utilizes light propogation volumes, and implements stuff like color bleeding along with normal bouncing light.

Haha, are you joking? There is a monumental difference between the PC version (maxed) compared to the consoles. Bad Company 2 was also on consoles so obviously its graphics sucked!

Get used to pc games being on consoles, also get used to consoles being lead and pc getting ports, eventually you guys are going to have to deal with it and stop whining or stop playing games all together.
^ you totally missed the point of the conversation. Well done. Nobody is bashing Crysis 2. Some of us just think its not the best looking game that was EVER created.
