A combination. A local game store first, then Steam for anything else I cannot get there.

Mostly digital download. These days I do my best to use Gamersgate, but I buy games from Steam and EA Store if the price is good. I almost never buy retail anymore; the last retail game I purchased retail was Starcraft 2 from BestBuy because I wanted the box and whatever perks it came with.

Steam, Retail, and other DD services. Steam most of the part these days although I still like retail and I always like to get a physical copy and also added value like limited & collectors editions that don't really work the same way with DD.

I use a mix of digital distribution.. it's just more convenient, plus I don't have to deal with taxes and terrible prices. e.g. My friends convinced me to buy Rift, so I walked into the local gamestop where it was $54.99 plus tax. No thank you. Went home and bought it off D2D for $43.

And I find myself not typically using Steam for new releases, as their pre-order incentives aren't that great. I still use Steam a lot for the sales now, D2D more for new games, and occasionally Impulse as well.

This. Although I still prefer retail box, the price point has veered me into digital download territory.

Steam usually, it's convenient having all my games in one place. Makes OS reinstalls easy too.

I prefer to have the boxes, so I usually buy games from Gogamer and Amazon. If it's a game that I cannot get a retail version of in North America, then I'll get it from Steam.

Digital (Steam, GamersGate etc.,) or Wal-Mart. I avoid GameStop because they seem to think its ok to charge a 5$ premium for every game. (59.99 msrp at walmart is 64.99 at GameStop)

Most my purchases are from Steam. If another digital retailer offers a Steamworks title for a cheaper price than Steam, then I go with whoever is cheaper. Otherwise it's Steam and GOG for me.

Webhallen and Steam. Game and GameStop have sky-high prices. I was at GameStop yesterday. They wanted 100 bucks for their new games. :| I feel so bad for the parents who think games are best bought there.

Due to always having a huge backlog, I buy most of my games on Steam sales. The occasional brand new game I pick up is usually retail box because they are usually a better deal.

online distributor, steam whenever possible out of convenience - i've got decent impulse/d2d/GoG collections too (though i consider GoG a service apart for the most part, just in terms of what i'm looking for when i shop there)

Steam and GamersGate. Never bought a retail box since Starcraft 2.

I got a lot of games from GamersGate therefore I'm able to get new games for free with the blue coins I save up :D.

I love how nobody picked GFWL...LOL

Steam as often as I can.

I even purchase retail box games I have on Steam if they go on sale.

I just like having the game on any internet conected PC, Steam Cloud is nice for SP games. All the great deals of course. I just love Steam so much.
