Is anyone playing this game? I bought Shattered Horizon the second or third day it came out and instantly fell in love with it.

The problem is there's never any one playing this game. I booted the game up last night at around 8:30pm EST, and there were

only 50 or 60 people playing over 10 or so servers. Does everyone just not like the game, or am I just not seeing everyone that's

playing?

I was in the beta of the game but it never did much for me, I just found the game to be a bit well erm dull. I imagine that along with the horrendous spec requirements will put a lot of people off. I just don't think the game has enough variety or interest for most PC gamers.

I was tempted to buy it but I knew because of the req.'s it would be unpopulated online and it's only an online game so...

The majority of gamers are still on Windows XP. Shattered Horizons requires DX10, which in turn requires Vista or Windows 7.

Shatterd Horizon is the victim of the absolute lack of advertising for the game. There were 2 trailers and aside from that not much.

Yeah. I can imagine that a lot of people would be put off at the fact there's only four maps and one gun, but FutureMark has been working hard to improve the content. It's only been a couple of months since the game has come out and they've already had three good patches that have fixed some major issues and added extracontrols. They also have four new maps on the way, but since no one seems to play I'm worried they might drop the support for the game.

I'm hoping at some-point when the system requirements arn't so high more people will play. It'd also help if they has some STEAM sales to get more people to buy the game.

this no one really knows about the game if they did a free weekend + release free dlc + a %50 sale it would draw alot more people into the game.

That's weird, anybody with a gaming computer could handle Vista or 7 just fine. Why would they stick with such an old and slow operating system?

Neither are gaming computers.

And even so, 7 isn't expensive either and that still leaves Vista.

I was thinking they should do the same. I'm sure a STEAM weekend 50% off sale would really help the game's online community grow.

Mitch has a point. If you have enough cash to buy a gaming PC you should have enough cash for Vista or Win7.
