Hello guys, my friend want a good pc but he live far away from me and he dosent have a clue about pc hardware im not a experxt either but im gonna help him , do you guys know any websites to buy  prebuilt pcs we were looking at alienware but he dosent need a gaming pc  we also looked at hp,dell,gateway  prebuilts but they come with vista ewww, anyone know websites to buy prebuilt?

Maybe you could build one on your own?  It's suprisingly easy, as long as you know the technical terms used, know if something is compatible or not, and the safety precautions needed when working with hardware.  Otherwise, you could search Google or Ebay and ask here if you run into any questionables.

I am taking a guess that most websites with pre-build computers are going to come with the newest os (vista). But I would think if he doesn't need a gaming rig, dell is alright and usually has decent warranties.

Agreed. If your buddy doesn't need a gaming rig, then Dell, HP, and Gateway all make excellent computers. It comes down to who has the most money off this week. =D

I could easily built it for him but he lives far and i couldnt offer the "tech support" or the warranty

Don't get a Gateway. It's really hard to install a new OS on it because the motherboard driver is locked in a partition that can only be accessed with the special recovery CD.
