Well, PS3 vs 9500GT their about equal. If you spend $100 on a gpu those games would look alot better then the console versions.

PS3 Biggest diffrence is if you like the controller or the mouse/KB. 9500GT is not strong enough to outdo the PS3 graphics wise but with a PC you can finetune the settings, but i imagine the PS3 plays better @ equal good graphics.

Get Fallout and Oblivion on the PC, they have loads of great mods. Also Fallout on PS3 is a bad quality port with graphics and crashing issues. Other than that it comes down to whether you prefer keyboard and mouse or controller.

^ this... Oblivion i an ok game but becomes absolutely amazing with some mods. With some graphic mods you can increase the graphic quality by 400% and with some gameplay mods you can add 100's of hours extra game time. You can fine tune the game to your own likings unlike the PS3 version where you are stuck with the game as it is (wich is bad on some parts imho). Same counts for all the other games you named i guess. Imho PC beats a console any day by the amount of content thats created by the community.

Oblivion on the PS3, it is the best console version. Fallout 3 on the PC. When I had the GOTY edition on the PS3 the bugs were numerous and annoying, the PC version should be better.

The 9500GT is equal to 8600GTS which is stronger then a 7800GS and the RSX on the PS3 is a gimped 7800 chipset with half the ROP's then 7900 and half the memory bandwidth of a 7800, which you might as well say 7600 memory bandwidth speed. Plus the 9500GT can can 512mb video memory which right there will allow better textures then consoles use.

Ah yes.. ...but since when has the PC version been as optimized as the Console version? Comparing the hardware for it's spec's in a Console vs. PC question is useless, you should know that. :)

But look at the games he plans on playing, Oblivion , Fallout 3, Bioshock, And Orange Box. Almost all those games run on a mix of low/medium textures on the consoles compared the Pc versions. And most of those games I ran on high settings on my old 7600GS at 1280x1024, which means his 9500gt with those game will look better then the console versions especially the Orange Box.

Ok thanks for all the recommendations :) I am going to get Fallout 3 and Oblivion for PC because of mods and I heard that PS3 version have many bugs. I am getting BioShock and Borderlands for PS3 because I prefer controller and it feels better to play on consoles. I am going to borrow PS3 version of Orange Box from my friend.

Trolling? How can oblivion be better on console? Or if you mean it's the best console game out of the ones OP called why would you get it on a console? It's obvious that oblivion is better on PC, like i already said here. You have so many mods that increase/change graphics, game-play, game-mechanics. You can download someones creation and end up with a total new game. Add a grapics pack and enjoy some sick good graphics (or lag if your pc is to slow :D). dozens of new units 100's new items and gear. Things like a stash that stashes all ingredients at one button click (call it cheating but i wish you succes if you try to be an alchemist). Just search for mods, some people run 20 or 30 mods together and tune it to there liking. With all these mods the game just stays fun i wouldn't play without it as i found vanilla oblivion an ok game but somewhat dull.

why would you play Borderlands on a console? Seriously Ive heard the PC coop is a better experience. and another thing people dont consider is that what type of people you want to be playing your games with? I mean there are different people on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. The PC generally has the most mature and laid back players.
