I'm looking at a midrange video card upgrade and decided on the 9800GT. Which brand of card should I choose? http://www.onhop.ca/Product/10647255/512-P3-N973-TR/EVGA_E-GEFORCE_NVIDIA_9800GT, http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4008555&CatId=1826 http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=15180BD5872&vpn=PVT98GYDLH&manufacture=XFX Thx

For that price, you can get a HD 4850 or GTS 250 which are much better cards.

Basically if you have a board that supports Crossfire or Sli, buy the right card for the board. Single card wise on every tier right now Ati and Nvidia are trading blows except for the midrange where the HD 4770 is the only answer. Since the high end cards are basically start at just over $100, should not be a problem.

The whole price/performance>making the most expensive single card possible started by Ati should play out quite well for the PC gaming future.

First of all, the Hd 4770 pretty much doesnt exist anymore, and second of all, the hd 4850 is the same price for more performance. Dont get the 9800gt, get the 4850, much better card for 10-30$ more right now at NEWEGG.CA.
