Definitely the Intel setup, but I'd probably spend a little less on a graphics card (HD4850), and a little more on the power supply and hard drive.

well i def want the 4870 just because i want this to last for at least 4-5 years give or take of course, and i only need a 250gb hdd so thats fine and yes idk bout the psu i will prob end up getting a corsair

bump, and i changed psu and mobo im not sure is it worth getting 4850 over 4870 or vica versa cause if i got the 4850 i could even get a better cpu

To save a little money, I would get the Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L motherboard, a cheaper case like the Antec 300, Coolermaster RC 590 or RC 690, and a cheaper mouse pad. And 1st choice is better imo.

id definatly go intel. If you never plan to Xfire with the 4850 i guess you could just go with the 4870 and not worry about it. Also, a Q6600 will be more than enough processor. You can always OC the hell out of it since your getting the arctic freezer 7.

thanks so what ur saying is if im trying to save a bit of money get a cheaper case and mobo, stick with the q6600 and the 4870 thanks for the help, and get the intel is what im hearing from my friends as well

oh and i changed to the recommended mobo and change the case to the nzxt case cheaper and i like teh looks of it

oh and i saw the 4870 requirments and it saws i need 2 6pin connectors and the psu i selected has 1 6pin and 1 6+2pin will this work with the 4870?

Yes, it will work just fine. It's even better than dual 6-pin actually, since it means you can run graphics cards that require an 8-pin connector.

wow, ok thanks then i will prob end up with this build since its so cheap and i think by end of july early aug things will be on sale more then they are now
