Why so much talk about console games in the PC forum? I'm not jealous of console gamers or the games they play. I'm a PC gamer and people like IW have left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't want to play any console games for the PC.

Although I understand you,you must admit that some console games are very good,and if they were pc exclusives you would certainly play them. A game is a game,regardless of the system it´s in.

A game is a game,regardless of the system it´s in.I understand that console games are made on PC's then packaged for plug and playability. I'm a gamer no matter what and I do play games on whatever and whenever I can but I'm just seeing so many threads talking about consoles/games that this forums is starting to feel like one of the console forums. I'm not hating here I just want to read and chat about PC games/gaming when I'm in the PC games forums.
Fallout 3 works fine. Only one I can think of right now is Alan Wake...
you cant make a general statement like that. it does work fine for some people. not for me, and many MANY others.
It works fine for most people, so yeah it is a general statement. SR2 is a techical mess on all systems and there is no way to fix it. Fallout 3 at least, when it works, it works.

Even my laptop, which is not a gaming/high-end one, ran this game absolutely fine. Perhaps you should try lowering graphical detail? Or check if you meet minimum requirements.(FO3) ;)
Actually, Dead Rising was always something I wished had come to PC. Apart from that, I'd say that Alan Wake should resume production of the PC version. I'm sure Remedy Entertainment want a PC version, and it's Microsoft pulling the strings.

well i dont think "when it works, it works" means anything really (at least not to me), but i see your point. however if you google fallout 3 crash or freeze, there are a lot results its a very very common problem, several reviews (i believe) refer to it as well.

cheers, tho i definitely meet minimum requirements, i changed some file or other so that it only uses 2 cores (ive a quad core), and the freezing stopped, but sometimes it still crashes.

we share the same fate but I still enjoye the game
in fact, I want complete segregation between the various platforms in terms of games.
Remember when consoles had Mario and Metal Gear, and PCs had their own games? Remember how much better those days were?
Multiplatform titles = negative. The only proper way to port is to A.) develop for PC, then strip the game down for consoles, or B.) develop for console and PC simultaneous, with two sets of teams tweaking the game for the appropriate PC or console platform.
None, Because I have a PC, Obviously, and a PS3. Xbox games tend to find their way to the PC anyways while I can enjoy the PS3 games on my PS3. As for Wii games, I'll just take a trip to my friends place.
