I dont have enough money to afford all of them, but I plan on upgrading one by one but which of these should be 1st: processor or another stick of RAM or Video Card. My sad specs: AMD 3500+, 1gb RAM, 6800 256mb pci-e Thanks for any help Oh and I am going to stick with 939 socket.. As long as these upgrades wil last me 2 years I am good. I will just get a Dual core AMD 4400 or something and I can live with that.

Hello,

Those "sad" spec were awesome a year ago lol!

I run a AMD 3700, 2GB ram, 6800gt..(It runs everything pretty nicely)

I my experience, you'd do better with a ram upgrade.

Don't buy crap either, go for some decent quality ram.

hope that helps some.

cpu probably cause its abit out of date .. ram & gpu is alright and if your going to sli the 6800,then you wont see alot of difference like i was told here only 30% of the secondary gpu is utilized!

darkfox - you didn't say, which games run slowly on your computer. Really, weak spot in your system - gpu. Then - ram, and only after that - cpu.

this is what I think:

First upgrade you GPU,

Second your Ram to 2GB,

And I think that you CPU is fine.

Dollar for dollar until you reach 2GB RAM upgrades lend the best performance increases. That is unless you are wanting to run the most recent titles are medium to high settings?
