Once again: if they have been overclocked you can't judge such close videocards. Frequences please.

Please tell me your joking ? Most card companies overclock about 5% which isn't crap and then they sell it as overclocked edition which brings the price up even more. The 8600GTS is usually at least 10-15% better than the 8600GT so nope, no frequencies aren't needed.

Actually I thought it was CUSTOM overclocked by THE USER. Is it? Or is it stock clock?

Thanks for mentioning that.

Oh ok, that makes sense. Well, of course 8600GTS is better then. Besides you can check out mine 8600GT Superclocked review in my blog. Had it for one week, then gave back to the store and took 8800GTS

The rest of your specs are great which is why I recommend you save more money. A 8800GS which is 2-3 times faster and a new powersupply should run you about another $50 but would be most defiently worth it even if you have to wait a few months.

Hell if you already have a 500w powersupply then just go buy the 8800gs. You can get it on newegg with free shipping for $85 so I recommend that since its going to be alot more at the stores. As for settings it depends on what resolution you play at ?

abt $70talal_azam

An 8800 GT is so close, yet so far if your budget is $70.

You can find an 8800 GT for about $100-110 on newegg.com like this videocard from Asus or this videocard from PNY. You might want to think about saving just a little more. I would if I were in your position.

I do agree about getting the 8800GT but in all fairness its not that much better at all than the 8800GS like your making it seem by the whole "cheaping ou and getting pissed" I wouldn't be suprised if it only suprased it by about a whole 15% on lower resolutions

He was but about half way through this thread he started asking about the 8800GS because it was close to the price he would pay for an 8600GTS

Eep! If you'd waited one more day, you could have bought the HD 3670, which costs $70 on Newegg and performs about as well as the 9600GSO, according to newly-released benchmarks.

EDIT: 500W should be plenty for the 9600.
