Im building a new 2000$ PC soon.

With the released of the new cards, Im kind of lost.

Which card is the best?(I can pay up to like 400-500$ for the card)

Right now, either the GTX 280 or 9800GX2 would be your best bets. If you can wait a few weeks, the 4870X2 should be better than either of those, albeit at about $550.

EDIT: However, if you want to go Crossfire, two 4850s cost ~$400 and beat both the GTX and the GX2 in most games.

I would also reccommend the crossfired 4850s.

whyxfire 4850? why not just wait and get the x4870x2? 1 card is always better then two cards.

The 4870 gives you the most for your money. But the GTX 280 gives you the best performance. Considering you said you'll pay $400 for the card. Then I recommend you get the GTX 280.
