All HDDs were SATAII & 500GB

But Segate has 8MB cache while others 16MB cacheLahiruD

I didn't know there was a 500gb drive with only 8mb cache. everywhere I look a the 500gb segate drives they are all 16mb cache.

Well then, look into the Seagate Barracude 750GBters. I got mine for around $230 and they are EXCELLENT.
