The Sony headphones are better, but in that price range you'd be better off with the Sennheiser HD 201 or Koss UR 20. If you can pony-up a few more dollars, you'll get noticable improvement from the Sennheiser HD 202 MK II. After that the price nearly doubles for something notably better.

Happy gaming,

Boz

I see the Sennheiser HD 201 seems great, wished it had a mic.

The 201s would be better, and you can get a mic if you don't mind an extra cord (Or with a little effort you could wrap the mic cord around the headphone's cord. Its fairly long.)

Also if you could splurge a bit more, the Sennheiser HD555s are ~50 bucks~ used/refurbished. They will stomp all headphones and headsets in that price range.

If you are looking for the best gaming headsets, check this out http://gamingheadsetreport.compearlmae23
That website was awfully crap. Why are you recommending him this?
