Or if you think none of these are good, what other one would you recommend? Nothing over 50$ though. My main concern isn't necessarily the quality of the mic but the headset speakers so i can hear well while gaming also and hear footsteps behind me and so on.

Mmm.. This really should be in the hardware forum.

However I can vouch for theMicrosoft LifeChat LX-3000 Headset. For the money they are a good USB Headset.

The sound quality is good and there are well made. My only complaints would be the cable length (6ft it to short IMO) and the design does heat up the ears after excessive use.

As for the other sorry I can not help you but like as said the Microsoft ones offer pretty good value.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002DS4HTM/ref=s9_simp_gw_s4_p23_t2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-4&pf_rd_r=0X4JBBJFB2Y6H1GM2MQX&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470939031&pf_rd_i=507846

that is less than 50... but i would recommend spending the extra 10 dollars and getting:

it has headphone surround sound capabilities. totally worth it.

Ive had both the Microsoft Headset and the Logitech one. The Microsoft one worked fine until the Microphone started transmitting static and eventually died. And the Logitech one well the sound has just gone completely..

Forget those man. Logitech will just hurt and be crappy and the others just seem so cheap. These are gaming headsets: http://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-GameCom-Open-Ear-Gaming-Headset/dp/B001KUSXXU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1262052889&sr=8-1 I own that one. Its awesome. Perfect. Its open ear though - which means you can hear people talking to you. Its more for those that need to hear their mom calling them if they are on the computer gaming. Anyway - if you want to be sealed off from the world with awesome bass this is the other model of the same thing that is also awesome: http://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-GameCom-Closed-Ear-Gaming-Headset/dp/B001E45XT4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1262052881&sr=8-1 That one is good. Theres also the Gamecom 777 which comes with a USB connector too. On amazon it sells for $50 or more but if you use Ebay or some other site you may get it for like $40 or less even. Its all up to how much research you do. Gotta poke around. I got my Gamecom 377s for $20 flat Brand New off of Ebay. Gotta be careful and alert with Ebay though. Hope that helps man.
