Ive have been wondering for awhile if should go multiple displays or stay with a 50 inch DLP screen at 1920x1080 resolution. I have never tried multiple display gaming so I wanted the opnions of people who have or had tried multiple display gaming. Thanks for future input.

Really it depends on what you want. The DLP is just going to make everything bigger, ie the larger display. Gaming on multiple displays will actually increase your field of view. I currently game on a TripleHead2Go at a 5040x1050 resolution. There is nothing like it. The only draw back to playing on multiple displays at high resolutions is that you have to have the hardware. For example, most people that play Crysis at maximum settings at a resoluiton of 1600x1200 more than likely will not be able to play it on maximum at a resolution of 5040x1050. My rig gets 30-40 fps on high. IMO I would go with multiple displays. If you have any questions about multiple display gaming feel free to pm me.

That's interesting...with the current early drivers, 5870 crossfire with Eyefinity only manages to get 30 fps on 5760x1200 on medium/high settings.

Apparently multiple GPU setup yields are supposed to lower as resolutions increase.

Err... no. According to this source, it's actually supposed to yield MORE as resolutions increase. Or at least for crossfire.

A good DLP is better for gaming but remember to grab some proper curtains and projector screen, regular ones won't do. Multiple monitors are better for work, espescially programming.

I disagree. Gaming with 3 screens is unlike anything else. I use my 46in sharp sometimes but its just not as intense as having my surround.
